Hi again Miss Rea..i just saw this on the recommend videos playlist. Im quite curious if the JO needs to be signed in this current situation.. I mean i was just interviewed and got hired over the phone. And the JO was just sent to me via email. How am i suppose to know if i am really hired and will be really working with the company with that circumstances? pls enlighten me.. It has been a month since i got hired but still waiting for my training sched and the worst thing is that, no one from their end is closely coordinating nor updating me.

Signing the JO online is done more often nowadays. I think what happened in your case is that the company is still unsure when the next training will start due to the pandemic. I suggest you also try applying in other companies. ❤

Signing the job offer is fine since it has no legal binding, what you need to take attention to is the Contract. Once the employer and applicant signed the contract, no ine can ever changed what's written there. ☺

How about po for negotiating salary for someone like me who has 5 years international bpo experience? Most often, even if I have such length of experience, the offers could still be really not enough as not all companies really give the appropriate range of salary despite the length of tenure. I really want to be able to negotiate my salary given the experience I have but I don't know how

May I ask what was your position/role in the bpo? For agents, I know that the salary would be standard but maybe if you apply as a team lead, trainer or managerial positions, you can negotiate.

A soft offer should first state that you and the company have not yet made a firm decision on the position, but the candidate is a strong contender. You want them to have a clear idea of what the position would entail and get a tentative yes or no from them. --> Just googled this. ;) STEP Training - was this communicated by the company you're applying to?

Entry-level is for beginners/no experience needed - so you're not applying for an entry-level position if you already have sales experience and especially if you're applying for a sales rep position again. Other companies offer a bit more in basic pay when you have experience, you may check it out with HR or ask some employees in the company. Hope this helps!

I'm starting to hate my call center work. It's giving me anxiety and stress. Not only do I have to put up with abusive customers, Im starting to realised that my co-workers are not so friendly after all. It's like all this time there were putting on a mask and now they finally revealed their true colours. When I transferred a call to another higher tier agent, the agent told me off and said, "so you're transferring this call to me because you cannot do your job properly is that right? If that's the case, I'll have to make a complaint on you." Is this common in all call-center work? That people like to complain about other staff members to get rid of that person? Why are they acting this way? How hard it is to answer another call? Or technically, we are not suppose to transfer calls to a higher agent? It's like the place I work in is becoming toxic. The tough, mean people seem to survive in the workplace, but the shy, weak people will get kicked out.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. It seems like a company that I will no longer be happy in if that's the case. But I will certainly see if there's anything I can do to change things if I'm in your case. I do think that issues with co-workers don't happen in call centers only. It can happen in any type of work too. Also, if your job is really just putting up with abusive customers all day everyday, then I won't stay in that company. A few abusive ones are not good but they exist so if I get one or two from time to time, I'll probably just deal with them. Hope your situation gets better. If not, you have the choice to be in a better company..
