I always thought they did such an excellent job casting the younger-versions, they look uncanningly like they would actually grow up to be their adult versions! And each expression and inflection is spot-on. These movies were very well made. Not just dumb humour stuff. I miss good old all-out comedies like that. Love these films!

In the behind the scenes, the producers put mike Myers (as his Austin powers character) and the younger version of him side by side to see how they performed together. The younger "Austin powers" was the perfect match because he nailed Austin's personality and the little details like adjusting his glasses or his spasms.

I still want it because even if it flops there's still the trilogy you can go back too. Myers is older and not in shape like he used too (my guess) but he could work that in a story line where Austin hit a slump and is dealing with being older. It's a story that's been done to death but I think it could work with Austin Powers

You can tell the cupcake they threw wasn't exactly meant to stick on his head. He reaches up to catch it from falling but it doesn't. They cut away just before he breaks. In the next cut you see it's a completely different cupcake they stuck to his head, probably decided to roll with it after realizing it was funnier.
