I agree, I think this is what a lot of guys miss when they say they want Brad Pitt's fight club physique. They can build the same amount of muscle and cut down to 6% body fat...but their physiques just ain't looking as good as Brad's. The shape of his muscles, his insertions and muscle bellies, etc - make him look much better than most at his stats. The left pic in the thumbnail is a good example. Muscles look fuller, pop more... and just look better, let's face it. That's why he can get away with being 155 shredded and look amazing. Most people aren't looking like that at his stats. I've read Brad was 180 pounds for Troy. He reportedly gained 10 pounds of muscle in either 6 or 8 months depending on the contemporary source. I haven't found a source I trust for Fight Club, but Brad gave his own weight as 159 pounds back in 1987 when he was 23-24.

I'm just relaying the info I could find so people can draw their own conclusion. His weight depends on how tall he really is. He gave his height as 5'11" in that same interview which usually means more like 5'10", but maybe he's the exception. There's a 1987 photoshoot that comes up when you search "Brad Pitt 1987" for anyone else interested in what he looked like when he was at least claiming to be 5'11" and 159 pounds at 23-24 though I imagine he was more or less the same weight give or take a few pounds as he was in the still Derek used of Pitt aged 25.

I don't think Brad needed to take performance enhancers for his roles. I would be very skeptical about the report of gaining 10 pounds of muscle mass in 6 months. This is not an obtainable goal for 99.9% of people. Closer to 5 pounds in 6 months, ok. More than that and its either not muscle (water, fat) or its performance enhancers. @Da Boss hard to explain exactly but I’ll try. It’s just a look I see in young men especially, compared to our dads and granddads. If you take a look at pictures of them when they were the same age as us, especially when they’re with friends, they just seem to be much leaner, dryer, more defined and bright on average. It’s like there’s a weird layer of fat or water that seems to be over everyone now. I can’t help but notice a difference in the appearance of people on average now, versus seeing movies/shows, and advertisements. People had more definition, angularity and just looked sharper and more defined in general. Even men who lift today sometimes still have the same issue, just not to the same degree. It’s like there’s something vastly different about our food/water, hormones, and lifestyle that contributes to producing softer, rounder, less defined features.

@@Firefalcon88 it's our diet mate and also men's testosterone levels are dropping a lot and hence that might contribute to the puffiness you describe. I've noticed that in a lot of guys as well which is why I'm taking care of my diet from a young age itself lol

Honestly for fight club it looks like he just added a little more muscle to his chest and arms to appear a bit bigger, compared to Thelma and Louise, where his arms are what makes it clear that he isn't working out. And for Troy he added a bit more to his upper body, not insane amounts, just a little more.

It always cracks me up when I hear someone say (usually a man) that a certain actor, such as Brad Pitt or Shemar Moore, aren't that good looking. I always tell them that when you deny something so self evident it makes you look even more jealous. He won the lottery at birth and he's followed his path. He works hard and is obviously dedicated to a very healty lifestyle. Give credit where credit is due.

Video suggestion. Edward Norton on American History X and did he take steroids? I think not but it would be a good topic. I remember that he has said that he was just eating protein shakes etc and gained 30 pounds for the role.
@nba_fan72144 жыл бұрын
Norton didn't even look that big in AHX. He just looked a lot bigger relative to what he usually is. Norton said himself in an interview they used all kinds of tricks to make him look bigger - flattering angles, good lighting, casting people who were smaller than him in scenes, etc.

@@starwarsroo2448 I agree. He doesn't even look that much bigger in that movie. I'd say that it's very much achievable in 6 months with a simple full body program with extra focus on the shoulders, and a low carb diet.

THANK you. I was built like Fight Club Brad in my 20's and 30's. Completely natural because I was a workout fiend and had good genes. I mean, even when I backed off of working out, I still had a physique that friends and relatives complimented. Seriously. I don't understand why people make such a big deal of things like this. We exist on a range of possible body types.

I'm curious what Brads "feats of strength" are at these physique levels (Troy not included) I'm guessing he's a pretty quick sprinter, good at calesthenics, some acrobatics, but probably not benching above 195lbs.
@raven39462 жыл бұрын
True, I got the same build and I can lift max 190lbs bench, I’m super agile that’s the only plus side, it’s nice to walk around with but if you want more strength you’d need to eat more
@mradkai61234 жыл бұрын
I think people often confuse being ripped with being on steroids. When I was younger I walked around with a six pack all the time. Since I've gotten older it's been much more difficult but I've leaned down to that same body composition I had when I was younger a few times with a lot of dedicated work. Realistically he looks to have about the same body mass in fight club as he does in Troy but in Troy it looks like he's holding a little bit more water and therefore providing a little bit more visual size on camera. I think he's 100% natural.

Yeah this is totally achievable with diet and exercise. I looked like this in 2016 . I was drinking kefir, eating nuts, not al lot of bread, a lot of steamed meats and veggies. For exercise, i usually swam about 30 minutes in the morning and either did yoga sculpt for 45 mins in the evening, a circuit of weights 45 or swam again for 30-45 mins; usually i did yoga sculpt. To be fair, over the years ive played tennis or swam, so i maintain an athletic physique year round.

I am just starting to lift for the first time as a 30y/o male sitting at 147, 5'11 and this is my goal. Very high metabolism with a picky appetite. Any advice when it comes to keeping up with calorie intake? It is hard for me to consistently put down 4k plus calories a day because of my work schedule. I travel and sometimes for up to a week at a time, and after just a week of being off a strict diet it seems like I lose weeks worth of progression. It is pretty discouraging. I get up to 150 then hit a block each time, just can't seem to hit 155 even with cutting out all cardio.
