For reference, they edited it to make it look like Maddie ran off after she fell but she actually continued the dance until the end. It’s why Abby wasn’t angry at her, because she just did what she was supposed to do after making a mistake. The show edited it for drama like they always do, so I rarely- if ever- trust a single thing I see onscreen.

BTS facts about Kendall in S2E1: - Producers switched her music right before she went onstage; it was the same song, but slowed down. That’s why she bobbled her tilt and turns, because she had to hold them for longer than she’d practiced to keep in time with the music. - She actually placed 1st in the Primary Division, but the show didn’t air that. Maddie placed 1st in Pre-Junior, and Chloe placed 1st in Junior, while Nia placed 4th in Junior. BTS facts about S2E6: - Melissa didn’t play by the “make your own costume” rules either. Maddie’s costume was the “Sinful” group costume from Season 1, and Kenzie’s costume was her old solo costume from right before Season 1, called “Let Me Entertain You”. - Maddie actually finished her solo, but it was edited to make it seem worse. The full solo is here on KZbin. - Brooke placed 1st in the Teen Division, while Maddie, Chloe, and Paige placed 3rd, 2nd, and 1st in the Junior Division.

One thing I always notice is with mackenzies solos they always give her babyish choreography and I find that’s why she didn’t get to progress as well which is a shame cos she’s a good little dancer! When they gave her the solo maddie did at her age ‘cry’ I felt that really showed her talent and I thought it was so good! I wish you could react to both the Zieglers cry solos 🥹 and with your dance mom I loved this video!

So the whole thing with Leslie and Payton was messed up. They both knew that the producers wanted to portray them as the villains, but never thought it would be as bad as it was. During that infamous episode when where Payton portrayed the “bully” in one of their dances, and the girls were school children and Payton said that she thought she was better than everyone there……the producers twisted her words around, but also told her to say that. They told her to say that she thought she and the girls, were better than everyone at the competition…..it was the producers who edited that clip it to make it seem like she said that she was better than the actual cast. Unfortunately due to how they were portrayed on the show it lead to them recently lots of hate and death threats online, and people would actually show up to their home and harass them. I hope that the police would’ve been called since it’s illegal and a criminal offense to threaten someone life online, and I believe it’s a felony to trespass on someone’s private property.
