Blacks Beach Surf Wednesday January 12th, 2022
This was the first time I've ever seen Surfline post "EPIC" for an afternoon report. The surf was big and the shape was mostly really good. Yeah, there were a few close-out but aren't there always?
What do you think, does this surf session deem worthy to be called "epic"?
Check back soon as I chased this week long swell and will be releasing those episodes soon.
Thanks for watching, I'm Brad Jacobson and I'll see you on the sand.
Music (in order of appearance): Alec Slayne, Arc De soleil, Addie Horner, Arc De Soleil, Addie Horner, the Elloquent Jims, Jules Gaia, OTE and a Month of Sheep

So strange, I surfed Blacks for years since it was right on my back door to work. I can't believe these guys made it through the shore break. That and all the music takes away from the magic of blacks... days like that you can hear the lip sizzle as the wind blows off of it and go blind while taking off. All the same, the local crew was not out for the photo session

Well we had an AKA for Surfline and I am sure it sticks ‘till today. “Surflies!” I ended up using a NOAA site and my own forecasting for swells and winds and did a much better job reporting. The waves were good for sure and big enough to possibly weed out the meatballs from the spaghetti, but apparently not. It still looked pretty kooky out there. Nice video and the waves looked fun.

@@bradsillasen1972 here's a beginning, and also watch your skies. I'm 53 now and have surfed been outdoors my whole life, taken lots of weather/geography related studies in college, by the mid 90's lots of weird airplane generated clouds and trails started showing up, and only increasing over time until now we get frankenstein plasma screen skies, and they occur at the onset of fronts. also notice how many moistureless denuded clouds come in off the pacific these days, where'd the moisture go? cirrus are the wispy types, but they are rare, now they call them, no joke, cirrus aviaticus. anyway, there's a whole lot of research out there on patents, military papers, look up operation popeye, in 1976 a weather warfare treaty was passed in the UN, not that i think the UN anything decent, the list goes on and on. and think about it, what doesn't the military industrial complex mess with? scarcity is the first law of economics, you really want all the reservoirs full? here's a club of rome quote from way back: "in searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill....all these dangers are caused by human intervention....and thus the "real enemy, then, is humanity itself..." and finally this paper. wild times bra!! www.wanttoknow.info/g/weather-owning-weather-2025-military.pdf

@@ShaglusZ No one source is reliable unto itself. The question of credibility is huge and needs now more than ever to be discussed. It would take a book! But in a limited context, I look for corroboration among otherwise disinterested parties whose careers and alliances depend on a record of validations and legitimacy. Even so, any such may error or be subject to corruption. Such is the human condition.
