I really appreciated this video. I've tried to mod my longshot several times, all ending in failure. I had all the right parts but there aren't many detailed mod guides out there. The video was very instructive and thanks to this guide I finally figured out where I went wrong and successfully upgraded my longshot.

I was just looking at the worker kit site for the aluminum bolt sled. Looks like they listened to you about the pin. Their description says “.Replace original all-metal CNC bolt pin with screw type, is not easy to slide out.” I already upgraded my alpha plastic trigger with the pink worker one. I had to mod the xzeus shell a bit to fit it, but i had already cut jam doors so no biggie. It’s night and day though. So much better. Wow. Next up will be the bolt sled for matchy pink goodness with no tape required.
@BradleyPhillipsYT6 жыл бұрын
Street Trash, there's an artifact trigger (new one) that fits the Xzeus 2 shell with out cutting
@streettrash42206 жыл бұрын
Bradley Phillips lame. I had no idea. I already modified it though so oh well. It was nothing structural, and I can always glue in some micarta block spacers if I need to use a different trigger for some reason. Mcmaster’s has micarta for pretty cheap.

When's your Stryfe build gonna come out?
@BradleyPhillipsYT6 жыл бұрын
Senior XJ, I have it here. It works. But won't feed ACC darts, rips the heads off every Worker dart and only really likes Mengun half lengths. That's good for me though because I'm probably going to switch to an all half-length Mengun load out but I do need to wait for my shipment of them to arrive. I find the accuracy is the same as Worker without the head loss.
@seniorxj29316 жыл бұрын
Bradley Phillips,, half lengthen darts in a stryfe? I'm guessing your using a DRS cage since your main thing is accuracy..
@BradleyPhillipsYT6 жыл бұрын
Actually using Morpheus with 41.5mm crush and high concavity wheels
@seniorxj29316 жыл бұрын
Bradley Phillips,, I'm running the same cage with the aluminum guide. Mine is a 42.5mm with worker wheels and it's tearing heads off a lot of my accufakes. I then bought insutanto wheels from out of darts thinking the worker grooves were to blame but the same happened.

The Omega kit is going to be capable of spring loads higher than 20 kg, intrinsically though. If you were interested in creating a target shooting Longshot or XZeus. Where rate of fire isn't a concern.
@BradleyPhillipsYT6 жыл бұрын
Batojiri1, I personally wouldn't consider going above Turf 10kg with the Omega until Jet release some longer barrels. What alpha hits with 16kg, a brass sleeper breech can do with less.
@BradleyPhillipsYT6 жыл бұрын
Jet have warranty rated Omega to some ridiculously high number, so Jet says so.
@JosephArata6 жыл бұрын
Agreed, barrel length will be a problem if you aren't going to go source your own Aluminum pipe and cut threads on it to adapt it to the kit. At least without waiting for Jet Blaster to release specific sizes for specific spring loads.
@CdoGtheGreat6 жыл бұрын
It would be really cool if you did a video showing the difference in FPS with barrel length. I would give two likes (one from each account) I know it aint much of a "payment" but I thought it would be worth asking.
@BradleyPhillipsYT6 жыл бұрын
Jet Blaster have some different size barrels they're planning to send me to test so look out for that video because I'm definitely going to run Omega through its paces with 18.5kg spring too.

Jordan Leitner, I upgraded the pusher oring to a thicker one. Other than that I haven't done anything not shown in the video. In terms of cost I'd say it aligns well with what it's missing compared to the omega kit preorder price of $130USD. It lacks a plunger rod, plunger tube, or metal trigger. It also requires shell work.
@MongooseJakeNerf6 жыл бұрын
Hadn't watched this previously. I have that kit (mostly, I did not order the pusher intentionally so I could run it with full lengths), and it was nice to see your thoughts on some of the parts. That kit is hitting about the same FPS as my modded Buzz Bee Snipe is when firing full lengths on a 7kg spring.
@RastaBot6 жыл бұрын
Im liking the rose gold color, I just purchased the sled and its on its way. I might have to get the whole kit. Are you going to do videos with different spring loads like you did with the Alpha Kit?
@BradleyPhillipsYT6 жыл бұрын
RastaBot, I might do a video with 16kg or something to see what it hits but with the loose fit barrel and short length I foresee diminishing returns above 10kg and not much gains above 200ft/s.

Awesome vid man!!!!! Liked:-) Btw can a stock longshot plungertube handle a 14kg spring?
@BradleyPhillipsYT6 жыл бұрын
Gabbi Yobro, the plunger tube itself can. I'd upgrade the sled though.
@gabbiyobro40206 жыл бұрын
So a metal sled? With sled do you mean the bolt sled??Btw don`t you have to get a metal catch as well as a stronger catch spring? And is it necessary to get a metal trigger?

Hello Brad, what will be your recommendation for optimum barrel length of the same setup on ZS LS body + worker blue LS tube + worker 22kg spring? Thanks.
@wallafied5 жыл бұрын
Thankyou brad for all your vids. I’ve learnt a hell of a lot from watching most of not all of them. Cheers I have the complete worker kit including the 18.5kg worker spring that came with it in a xzeus2 shell. But it’s a 200 to 210fps gun with worker darts. I’m a little disappointed. I’ve ordered a 16.5kg spring from BlasterTECH as I’ve been impressed with their 8kg spring, (180 to 200fps in my custom stainless steel barrel and breech longshot I made). To the point I spose hahaha, is the 16.5 BT spring as good as the turf 16kg spring you seem to love the most?
@BradleyPhillipsYT5 жыл бұрын
By the looks of their fps claims, it seems about equal to a Turf 16kg spring.
@wallafied5 жыл бұрын
Bradley Phillips I’ll soon see I spose. If it’s not up to task I’ll just get another Zeus with a ls omega kit. But jet blaster are always sold out of near on everything. It’s a bit of a joke. Oh and try a worker 9kg retaliator spring in your cycloneshock by itself. It’s a little bigger in ID so runs over the plunger rod without binding. 120fps average with worker darts can hit 140 when you find the perfect dart. ACC darts 140fps. Pity I can’t attach a vid to the comments to show

Turquoise Seal, super easy to remove and install. The artifact one uses a phillips head screwdriver bolt.

I only got this because it's a metal kit. I've sold all of my alpha kits ready for Omega. Had a few break where the pusher joins to the sled so not even a fan of molded ABS anymore.
@dracon57006 жыл бұрын
you do put your blasters through a ton more use than the average person would, and in a harsh environment at that, so it makes sense. i am looking at maybe getting an Omega kit to replace my brass breech system that I have because it eats darts and snaps boltsleds. That being said, I will probs wait for your review before buying the omega kit tbqh. I am a pre-med student so money is a factor for me.
@BradleyPhillipsYT6 жыл бұрын
I preordered an omega at the cheaper price so I'll definitely be reviewing it. My brass breech blasters all have metal sleds, metal catches, metal end caps, etc. and made by people who are really good at brass breeches so don't chew darts.
