Our little #QuakeCityCrew is already at 3.5k subscribers. To the OG subscribers - thanks for putting up with the terrible audio for so long. I finally got a mic! Anyhow, I'm thinking of doing some sort of giveaway when we hit 10k.

Hey mate just clicked on your KZbin channel and it says you don’t have any content. I have to click onto your video portion of your channel to find your videos. Hopefully you can edit your main page of your channel to make it as high quality as your videos!!

Great video. Quick question , if you are a southpaw fighter against an orthodox fighter. What hand does the south paw parry with? Is it the front hand or the back hand?
@bradquakeriddell4 жыл бұрын
@@gimme_da_mili3725 This will be answered in the next tutorial 😊

In every video of yours I found a detail that can make a tremendous difference like the one at 7:10, about deleting the "pump". Many people do that without even knowing it. This channel is a goldmine but I wanted to ask you aren't you worried your future opponents will have a easier time studying you because of it? For example you mentioned in your video "Counter-striking with Brad Riddell & Brentin Mumford: The check-hook" that your favorite and most successful punch is your left hook, and in another video "How to QUICKLY Double up the Hook | Reset Faster" (one of your best videos imo) you mention that when you throw your hooks you're usually at a range when your opponent can't kick you. Your last opponent Magomed had a kick heavy striking game but he couldn't use them because of the close range you kept throughout the fight. Anyway can't wait to see you back in there champ!

Na, I'll be sweet. This is not even the tip of the ice berg in regard to striking information and tech that comes from our coaches . Also remember it is easy to learn something like this from a video and drill it sparring etc but applying it in a fight with 4ounce gloves changes things dramatically. So the answer I guess is no Haha

Hey mate, fan since the mullarky fight in melbs. Was in audience and that was fight of night for sure. Looking for more striking technique videos from pros since im still lockdown. Especially interested in techniques about South paw vs orthodox. Also why dont southpaws switch stance in to the pocket then fire. Think its a good video idea but thats up to you. Cheers mate and congrats on the last W.

Hi Brad, What do you think of a more bladed boxing stance in MMA? People say you can't defend leg kicks, and you can't do left hooks unless you wind them up. Thoughts? Great channel, thanks
@bradquakeriddell4 жыл бұрын
The bladed stance does leave you open for various attacks, but I'm reluctant to say "it is bad for MMA", especially when you know how to use it effectively. It can be dangerous when a fighter can switch between the bladed and a more squared stance in order to disguise attacks. I made a video with Carl Van Roon called "TKD vs Kickboxing". He is the best in the world when it comes to TKD and bladed stances, and he helped me with my fight camp against Magomed Mustafaev. Perhaps that video may interest you and answer your questions. If not, check out his channel @vanroonmartialarts . He has a wealth of knowledge and fights MMA too.

I was wondering if you could help me. I am a Kung Fu practitioner and I am trying to troubeshoot and modernize the art by studying how other martial arts fight in comparison. I notice with a lot of parrying in Boxing you are taking the outside position of your opponents lead by knocking them out of position across their centerline. my question are there any parrying techniques that you would remain in the side and parry their attack outward?
@brontesimpson88372 жыл бұрын
Would you only parry the jab if it’s coming with some heat?
@whoknows82233 жыл бұрын
I rather use the slip tbh. Because when I for myself see someone use to parry my jab I feint it halfway and then come with a left long hook, because the left side of the face is all open. I'm afraid someone is intermediate, seeing that pattern, doing that to me too.
@bradquakeriddell3 жыл бұрын
I talk about that in my video on the change up jab. Pretty much the beginning of a jab but changes mid-way to a long hook, like you mention.
