You've got it down: turning in circle to pan ceiling frescoes... very good from viewer perspective!!! Thank you for this that we truly get a decent look!

Glad you like it! I try to focus on getting as much in the video as I can!

Bit more to say, from one who just loves beautiful antique porcelain hand painted dishware & glassware items items- this is dream come true. Never seen one display collections of tureens & platters on table like this. For some, the walls will be clutter... but those of us enamored by quality antique pieces such as these from days gone by, it’s awe-inspiring & beautifully done. The frescoes amazing! (Listen up young artists... I’d always planned to do a ceiling fresco in my home- not as elaborate as these, as wouldn’t have planned to have scaffolding set up that I could lay down on my back beneath the ceiling & paint... oh how wish I’d have done exactly that, years ago. Like for so many, our jobs take over... and me, an added head injury that changed some of my direction(ok today tho) therefore... the dream of ceiling painting may stay just a dream. SO you younger people out here- just do it when your young, for the simple reason: you can). This is beautiful older home... yes quite dated... but so incredibly fascinating. Also like Brads idea to take out part of kitchen wall to increase from galley size- maybe even knock out wall of pantry to have space for small kitchen dining area, even if just for two... there’s plenty of room for a pantry around the corner in the ‘unusual long skinny room’ with plenty of cabinets! Wished this place had had marvelous fireplace which would’ve been icing on the cake for the property. If I was able to purchase the furnishings & wall decor in this home, I definately would, because this place as is, makes it a rare historic collection & it’d be nice to keep it that way... it’d also be difficult to replicate the furnishings if you did not purchase all that’s in it. It seems your buyer here would have homes in diff areas of the world... & would keep as is due to fact it’s not their only home & one of many. And if the place sold without furnishings, it’d be difficult and so time consuming to attempt to replicate the ambiance, as is now. OTHERWISE... I’d go all out & do a more modern redo... without harming the fresco ceilings. And yes this real estate seems quite pricey... and must be in part due to the historic frescoes ... that keep it historic. Lovely & thank you.

That is one of the coolest things about Italy: the history and the art.
@wayneevans5050Ай бұрын
wow, I love the views out the windows. Did he say you couldn't touch the ceilings for historical reasons? It's really cool to see them in tact like that.
@BradsWorldАй бұрын
In general, you cannot touch art like that, nor why would you that’s pretty standard practice everywhere

Totally gorgeous " apt" brad, if money was no problem I was going to buy it for my personal use cause even at this price it is a bargain compared to the us. I was going to update for sure . The paintings and some of the furniture are gorgeous. In the blue bath where there is a narrow bathtub you could remove it and put some kind of cabinet for stuff and put a walk in shower some place ( maybe remove the bidet? ) with good imagination & planning for sure you can do something about it. Another winner , mr. Brad!

The bathroom is definitely a challenge! I like the idea of a walk in shower. I'm not sure about the bidet removal though!

1st floor. That's one above ground in Italy.

Brad, for 879,000, there shouldn't be anything for me to do-everything should be updated at that price!! I've seen other properties that you have shown that looked better and had land attached to it, and were much less than this particular apartment. For that much money, I don't want to have to update anything-everything should be already updated for that price. I would want something a little more modern if I'm going to spend that much money....just my opinion

Then buying one of the others is right for you! I’ve said many times that I present the properties as they’re offered by the owners. It’s very very hard to find high-quality properties that are available for sale and that the owners want them blasted on KZbin. Just contact Paolo and let him know which one you’re interested in making an offer on!

870K, but it will cost you a lot more than that every year if you include a 40% tax rate on your income.
@BradsWorldАй бұрын
Say what!?! 🤪 Much better to pay 36% in US PLUS 1-2% property tax on appraised value Every Year + 10% of your income on healthcare. 🤣🤣 Italy has no yearly property tax on your primary residence. No healthcare costs to speak of…. But to each their own!! Thanks for watching!

I would call it very traditional Italian. Not everyone’s taste.

I’m in the land of apts that haven’t been touched since Mussolini was Prime Minister. Yeah I would say this is somewhat dated.

Even for Siena, this price is too high. Nothing special here. Clear out the clutter and thd rooms have no star quality. Doors and floors undistinguished, kitchen inadequate. Lots of stairs to haul the shopping up. No terrazzo or outside space and God knows what the spese condominiali amount to?
@BradsWorldАй бұрын
I would have to disagree on the floors, Yellowstone may not be your thing, but having a house full of the Yellowstone from the local Kori that’s no longer producing makes it a rare commodity and historical.

If you are going to buy a home in Italy as a primary residence chose the city/town that you like best. If you buy based on potential price appreciation you will not be as happy. Siena is not the nicest place. There are many that are nicer.
@BradsWorldАй бұрын
Wasn't trying to get people to buy on this factor. Was trying to explain why Siena is sooooooo expensive. But a valid comment on your behalf!
