There's a system of political connections with influence in public law enforcement agencies at the local and county levels that's pretty much the reason that 'Brady Lists' exist, and AZ probably gives a start or second chance to a disproportionate number of the individuals on that list, US-wide. It's a minority of Agencies and a small plurality of LEOs, but if anyone remembers how powerful Joe Arpaio was as Maricopa County Sheriff and some of the Scandals he and his Deputies suppressed, none of this would be shocking.
@AlcideIzMine2 жыл бұрын
Isn't the Phoenix PD under a federal consent decree? That means even other law enforcement doesn't trust them. AZ has some bad cops. Seems like anytime police brutality hits the news it's either Southern California police (Kern country Sheriff's, LAPD or LASD) or the Phoenix PD.

1:10 I missed it. Did you ask the DA's office why this officer wasn't prosecuted for perjury? Lying in a police report is a felony. I must have overlooked that part. The constitution mandates laws be applied equally. So if a regular citizen would be prosecuted for let's say perjury, theft or obstructing an investigation then a DA should apply the law equally to a law enforcement officer and prosecute them for the same crimes as well. Is there a reason the DA is not applying the law equally? 🤔 Seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Regular citizens don't get the luxury of only being placed on a Brady list for crimes, they get prosecuted.

So if a simple name change can hide a bad cops history, shouldn’t that name change also negate his law enforcement certification? Wouldn’t he have to register his new name to the certification board? And then, the new name should transfer to his previous permanent record and Brady list. Imagine that. A felon could just do a name change and magically qualify to enter a police academy training program? Seriously, I went thru more strenuous background checks when I adopted my own granddaughter. Try telling me that law enforcement agencies don’t know about, and are choosing not to do anything about this? Accountability? Where? Law enforcement- the biggest violators of laws.

The murderers often avoid accountability and many keep their jobs. Some have killed more than once! When police accountability is so bad, people are in grave danger. @abc15 the phoenix police charged with me armed robbery when i ordered a sandwich at jersey mikes, the employee grabbed me and wouldn't let go, then i pepper sprayed the employee to get them off me, i even yelled let go of me and they wouldn't, i had no choice. the phoenix prosecutor has video evidence and will not release it to my lawyer, they are charging me solely on the police report. the police report doesn't say anything about the employee grabbing me and not letting go of me. i did not leave the store with anything, my meal was ruined and the sandwich was ripped out of my hand by the employee. they sent a fugitive task force team to my apartment, they tackled me and shoved my head into the ground. i was in jail for 3 days, sleep deprived, they didn't let me sleep. there were a few good cops but some police are straight psychopaths. judge bingert signed a warrant over a sandwich, probably didn't even look at the video and believed the false police report. my lawyer said police don't lie on police reports and to just take a plea. video doesn't lie and they won't bring it forth as evidence.

The 'Brady' aka James Beasley list scandal is generally very embarrassing for all levels of police in the country. Ironically, the police are responsible for the security of the US state. The 'Brady' list scandal is a small example but showing the world how ( fundamentally ) weak and corrupt US national security is. Maybe, reform is needed to prevent long-term impacts.

You are clearly ignorant of how government is structured in the U.S. If you are a U.S. citizen, this is reprehensible. You can start correcting this deficiency by studying the U.S. Constitution, paying particular attention to the 10th amendment. In any case, you should cease criticizing the structure when you do not understand the structure. Go ahead and offer your opinion on police misconduct-that’s easy for anyone to understand. But you’re embarrassing yourself when you describe police duties and responsibilities for national security.
