The first time I ollied a set of stairs I was accidentally thinking of something else. every other attempt was a failure because of how I over thought the trick and spooked myself. my tip is to remember that it's just an ollie.
@ilikeyai4 жыл бұрын
Yeah i just pretend im doing an ollie over a line you also pop higher if you think that because your brain doesnt try for so much distance it gives you hight and then your body makes you clear it

Once I spent like 3 hours trying to commit to Ollie a 4 stair, it was so hard to commit, I can completely relate to all the beginners out there, "it's hard to commit" "it's scary" I agree, I spent 3 god damn hours trying to get that 4 stair, almost in tears, and as soon as I got both feet on the board and rolled away, I got it every time from there, commitment is hard, so don't doubt yourself for not being able to commit, because eventually, even if it takes three fucking hours, you will get it, I promise.

LANCE is stoked that he just learned how to ollie steps, his buddy Aaron is a great teacher who is STOKED for his friend. What they have is a kick ass attitude about skating...and after nearly 30 years of skating myself, I know how AMAZING skate progression feels. So what hat a person is wearing when they skate actually has nothing to do with skateboarding- I don't even know why I AM NOW discussing his hat...but what the video is REALLY about is "hey, cool! he just learned how to commit to doing an ollie down steps!" AND what I think is really really cool about this clip is that by having a good attitude about skating- nobody is swearing and throwing their board around and making a fool of themselves or being a cry baby- instead, they are enjoying the skateboarding and I think progressing really well. And his hat is kind of cool, now that it has been pointed out to me...probably helps keep the sun out of his eyes.
@brailleskateboarding10 жыл бұрын
Haha, well said. For all the hat haters out there, they just don't understand ;)

It has speed, commitment, and "not every grind with both trucks is actually a 50-50" to it. And Lance's hat is more than welcome out here in Illinois. :)

@MFSHECKS10 жыл бұрын
De que parte ?! :)
@FreekickThinker10 жыл бұрын
Of course I skate, i know 50% or more is overcoming fear, but men why learing a 3 stair in a bad way, he just needs to get confident riding fast, or just listen to Aaron he keeps repeting him to go faster, why doing a skate support if Lance is going to do whatever he wants, i bet Lance cant jump 5 time the 3 stair one after the other one, again sorry for my english
@FreekickThinker10 жыл бұрын
Soy de Madrid tio, tu de que parte eres?
@iEr1n10 жыл бұрын
FreekickThinker Again much easier said than done:) Lance is a human being. He's not going to execute everything perfectly every time. The purpose of the skate support is to document the learning experience and address some of the issues that new skaters may experience (commitment etc). But I see what you're saying.
