I saw footage Black Hornet drone while small and portable it still used a two hand console. The BRI with the right drones/robots coud be very useful on recon or urban combat. This seems to fit along side the RAAF and RAN bigger AI robots.

I've worked in biosignal decomposition, it's very tricky inputting gradients, easier for on-off switching of parameters. The sensors we used weren't the most sophisticated, so some part of the full spectrum info was being lost as noise. Imagine this as toggling something between fully on and fully off, instead of being able to go somewhere in the middle of on and off. If they can actually do that effectively with sensor linking/control schema and a bit of training the human wearing the tech, maybe we'll see some awesome stuff. I can imagine a version of this being used with loyal wingman drones, where a pilot is flying a fighter and 4-5 fighter drones around are commanded by him in real time.

I do sus that if a pilot can not get distracted while flying drones and flying his own planes. Even the images that sent back is far beyond the limit of input for understanding of our brain.

@@nottoday2131 I don't believe that this would be real time feed from the drone, neither direct control of it. Would probably be more akin to giving an order like "go there, deny airspace, engage hostiles". Much like a real time strategy game. Edit: the brain to machine interface would make it significantly easier to give commands on multiple drones, while at the same time flying a plane yourself

Interesting and not limited to this application. VR use in air combat sims such as DCM can be extended so that pilots can fly a real mission in a real plane in the same way a drone like a reaper is controlled by its pilot but with far more control and situational awareness.

It MUST become a 2 way data link at some point, or it will never work beyond novelty. The human needs to be able to think a command, and instantly receive confirmation feedback of successful command receipt AND moment by moment status. Only this model will work. With this model, the human would be able to practice and eventually control multiple bots all at once, with ease and without excessive concentration needed.

Since when did they start allowing beards again in the Army? I know some SGTs used to be allowed them like the old Pioneer SGTs but it wasn’t that long ago when you could not grow one.

Haha, the tests of old showed how easy these systems are to fool. Better money to be spent on solider training for urban environments. Unmute the audio next time. Lol.

Why show the “enemy” the tools and technology we possess? Let them find out the hard way ,when or if needed. And I hope it doesn’t come down to that. It’s seem every time we come up with something it goes straight to KZbin or some other platform . Just saying.

Bro this is the army, they wouldn't be giving out this info for no reason and I guarantee you everything the army comes up with doesn't go straight to yt. Also this isn't new tech the us and other countries already has similar tech.
