So basically "Mark" beat a guy half to death in a completely unprovoked attack. Puts that "teenager attacked while deadlifting" story into perspective. I imagine that would've gone pretty viral, if smartphones had been around back then

Yeah there`s so much shite and myth makeing in this story and then simply used for self exaltation. Pinning the guys pony tail up on the wall for everyone to see only to say dont mention that as if its too horrible to even contemplate.They used that pony tail publically to declare how bad/tough they collectively are in that gym,as a totem of their dangerous masculinity..such a load of moronic shite.A guy was scalped by a psycho,whoshould be in jail.Thats what they mean by toxic.

What a horrific story! Let me get this straight, that guy was permanently disfigured, teeth knocked out, scalped, and after they hung his scalp on the wall, and to top it off, Ronnie Coleman who was a cop didn't even try to stop it, or arrest the guy? This is just wrong if you ask me. 007

My gym owner in Terrell TX was friends with Mark. I met Mark couple times through him. He was a big dude. Like Branch said Ronnie's workout partner. My gymowner would say he's biggest guy you ever meet. And he was. One of them a anyway. But sadly not long after meeting him Mark passed away at 44yrs old I think my friend said. I went to Mark's funeral with my gymowner/friend and his wife. R.I.P. Mark.

@colin86016 жыл бұрын
It's honestly pretty easy to say "I can use all sorta fucked up body English on my rows" when you have a ton of substances in your body making up for the inadequacies of form or lack of thought in programming that a natural body builder would have to pay mind to. Not saying it's not hard work, but when you have to track autoregulation and recovery like a natural lifter, then that's another story.
@majungasaurusaaaa4 жыл бұрын
He's autoregulating by using instinctive form. Why would you care what his execution looks like? He's a bodybuilder. He only cares what it feels like on his muscles. If it felt bad he'd changed his form. A natty would be served just as well using instinctive individual form. Check out Jason Gallant for example.

dy120481 Plus I've been in a fight where I put my foot on a guy's chest while he was on the ground and used that leverage to yank on his ponytail and and trust me, scalping someone by pulling their ponytail would be borderline impossible, I doubt even a bodybuilder could just casually scalp a dude by yanking his ponytail

It's actually safer than strict form. He only cares what it feels like, not what it looks like. Instinctive training is very good injury prevention wise. It's those trying to be strict and push against their natural biomechanics that get hurt.

The more I think about that terribly insecure WOMAN named "Mark" who basically sucker punched a guy while still sitting on a leg machine, I don't see how it's humanly possible to "scalp" someone as Branch described. Maybe he had a few hairs in his hand but pulling out and entire clump of scalp?.....C'mon

Filing a muscle with blood and going to failure only freaking works if you're doing a bunch of drugs, and even then you could sit on the couch and make gains on those drugs.
@RevoltingRudi6 жыл бұрын
so why then have druged up wheel-chair bodybuilders no big legs when sitting on a couch is enough? just curious!
@Boofmasterflex6 жыл бұрын
Steve Warris in that specific case I would say that because the legs of someone who is wheelchair bound receive no work at all the muscles don't grow. But any physical activity with a bunch of androgens in your blood will cause growth.
@majungasaurusaaaa4 жыл бұрын
So you're saying one could take his drugs, sit on the couch and get that big?
@brutus63286 жыл бұрын
Sadly Branch will be nearly crippled in 10 years time.....all due to his terribly horrific form, training WAY too heavy and beating up his joints. It's one thing to do what Mark said and add some body English (ie Arnolds cheat curls), but what Branch does is something totally different.
@majungasaurusaaaa4 жыл бұрын
Branch has far less damage than someone like Ronnie or Dorian. His training and form is instinctive which is much better at injury prevention than someone forcing himself into a set textbook form.
