Another great video guys! Dave seemed super pleased with the motor. Quiet, powerful. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the original motor and this one. But I know that I love lasers! And you guys both fly really well. Thanks for the vid.

Yes, the motor is a perfectly equitable substitute for the T-Motor that came on the RxR. Thanks for the kind comment.

What would be really good to know is how these motors compare to the standard EF recommended T-motor AM 600 and AM 670. And you probably don't know what they will retail at but knowing how the value is compared to the T-motor equivalents would also be nice.

@@RCVideoReviews We all appreciate your videos and every bit of granular detail you and dave produce as this is some of the premium content in the hobby and most of the time it's hard to get this level of insight without your dilligence. However, the t-motor video isn't a comparison, it is a swap-out/in and it does have watt/amp ratings but is missing the all crucial thrust and weight values alas. A comparison would indicate a head to head analysis with variables minimized, compare and contrast, which motor has more thrust, which is more efficient, prop differences required (if needed), etc. But yeah, doing the comparison myself I can see the t-motor pulls less wattage which *could* indicate it makes less thrust but it could just be more efficient and produce the same or more thrust. No real comparison here, no real conclusion, but at least we have a bit of data to go on. As usual, appreciate you and what you do for the hobby and keep up the great content!

And the next guy says we "geek out too much, just fly the plane." At the end of the day, watts/lb is a very reasonable benchmark for performance. I've been using it for years and get very consistent feel from my models. If you have that much interest in minimizing variables, compare and contrasting thrust and efficiency, and swapping props around--go for it. I like data too, but the blunt truth is that material simply does not get the views. I tried for a long time. So it's just not worth my effort. Even with a controlled environment people still found things to nit-pick. It's a very common thing with YT videos. Too much, too little. There are *ALWAYS* people on both sides of this fence.

More great products from Hobbyking. I fly Platinum 100A V3 on my 60" Laser. V3 just to get the opportunity to programm the esc by transmitter. Looks like the V4 escs are no more programmable by transmitter.

Let's hope they will release some motors for the heli crowd as well :)

Seems they’re most of the way there with the release of these motors.

7 min timer? Stil using timers in this time and age :D ? I use timers only as an incremental timer with minute call out. Jus for fun and statistics, but I land by batery voltage telemetry.
