Ryobi seeks to hit the Pro trades market with this line of Ryobi HP One+ Compact tools, including the Ryobi HP Compact Drill Driver. The HP One+ line all include a brushless motor and run on the One+ 18-volt battery platform.
**CORRECTION: In the video, we mentioned that the Bare Tool is $129, this is not the case. For $129, you get the Drill/Driver and 2x 1.5Ah batteries with charger. And, for $179, you get the Drill/Driver and Impact Driver along with the two 1.5Ah batteries and charger.**
This Drill/Driver has a 1/2" keyless chuck and a 24-position clutch, including drill mode that locks the chuck. Ryobi claims to deliver 400 in-lbs of force from this compact drill.
We tested the Ryobi Compact Drill with spade bits and hole saws in wood, as well as drilling holes in metal studs and drilling 1/4" holes in1/4" plate steel. You can purchase the Ryobi Drill/Driver for just $129 with 2x 1.5Ah batteries and charger. You can also purchase the Drill/Driver and Impact Driver combo that includes two 1.5Ah batteries and charger for just $179 from the Home Depot. Ryobi HP One+ Compact Tools include a 3-year warranty as well.

I agree if you're gonna get a drill driver it should be the real deal cause most likely I figure if they come out with a hammer drill it's gonna have more torque and more power

@@AllenReinecke It likely won't. Using a proper clamp style handle makes the tool longer. I'd be willing to bet the compact hammer drill won't have anything that adds "unnecessary" length. It's the one thing that has kept me from pulling the trigger on a Ryobi hammer drill. If they ever change it, I'll finally retire my old DeWalt XRP.

I have a small collection of 1.3-1.5Ah batteries that came with various kits. They get fed to my radio and flashlight. Those are the only tools they have enough power for, as far as I'm concerned.

I I’ll this u Ryobi compact, Dewalt compact , and Milwaukee compact Series are all in one performance but it depends on the type of battery ur using like here ur using 1.5

I actually was just making this decision and went ryobi because it’s lighter with the 1.5 battery than the dewalt without battery and I’m using this to supplement a hammer drill and impact.

Drills and impacts are separate tools and none are both in 1. You can however get affordable drill & impact duo kits for good prices.
