In this tutorial we are creating more style scapes! This is part of my process of creating one from scratch. Style scapes are better version of a mood board to direct your brand identity projects and ever since I've been using styles scapes it has changed the way I work. Forget basic mood boards, start creating style scapes and you will have a better time with your projects. Thanks to thefutur for inspiring me to create stylescapes.

Beautiful work and a great breakdown of the process. I also really appreciate how you blocked in sample layouts without pooling from fully made stylescapes, it helped flesh out the fundamentals of arranging a stylescape without the details getting in the way

Hey Jeremy! Great walk/talk through on the styles cape creation, very detail and is super nice to see your entire process. This might be more for another video, but what are the key questions you ask your client to get feedback from them when presenting the styles cape, and how would this be different to the actual logo concept presentation?
@JeremyMuradesign

Thanks brother. A few questions what stands out to you? Which stylescape do you feel resonates with our ideal customer more? How does the typography or colours feel do thy represents our brand keywords (attributes) are a few good ones.

@@JeremyMuradesign thanks, pinterest has been my go to for inspo but i'll look at the resources you've mentioned in the vid as well. i'm watching more of your stylescapes videos to grasp it better, you're doing a great job simplifying the concept! might switch from moodboards to this one now lol i find it more intentional that just a bunch of photos clumped together. moodboards would be great for color palette inspo tho 😅

question about user rights... can you use images from pinterest like you use from unsplash? because it has restrictions am i wrong?. doesn't it count as commercial work? or because it is just for inspiration it's ok?
@JeremyMuradesign
@JeremyMuradesign 4 жыл бұрын
You can if it's purely for inspiration and not selling or claiming it's your design/images. You are technically curating a selection of images from other people that you are just using for inspiration /style.

Nice stuff! I think the tea is out of place in my opinion serving a bit too contemporary, feminine and premium over rustic handmade from what I'm getting but this was a solid process shown. One question I had was would stylescapes be used for your personal branding? If so, would you be trying to make a stylescape for a target audience as well or more so trying to figure out that curated style for your actual personality and style. Or maybe stylescapes don't serve a purpose for your own personal brand at all?
@JeremyMuradesign
@JeremyMuradesign 4 жыл бұрын
It's more about hte process not getting it perfect as this is a fake brand. Style scapes can be used for personal branding totally.

Hello, thanks for the excellent tutorial, so what next after you create the stylescape? You use it as a reference? and create something with similar patterns & elements?
@JeremyMuradesign
@JeremyMuradesign 3 жыл бұрын
Present to client > use it as reference > LOGO DESIGN > brand identity. Yeah you can take colours, textures or pattern from it and just use it as a guide for the brand it doesn't have to be every single thing 100% copied.

@@JeremyMuradesign Thank you for the quick reply, didnt expect that ... you are awesome! one more question please .... Is it okay if i took a graphic geometrical element thati liked from my curated moodboard/stylescape (for example dots, arrow shapes, triangles etc )and combine it with another elements to create something different? Sometimes i get imposter feeling when I find something that i like and apply it in a different way in the guide or design system that i am creating.
@JeremyMuradesign
@JeremyMuradesign 3 жыл бұрын
@@hossamsalem8878 thanks bro! Yeah for sure as long as it aligns with the USER / brand and the goals you discussed in the discovery session. Just keep it consistent with the identity you are creating.
