I’m a straight, married, white, religious upper middle class lady with two kids and a dog. I live in utopia and I’m grateful for it. The lyric ‘after fighting for the right’ slayed me. No one in the world could keep me from my love and my babies. We’ve been through hell and back, but no government has ever told me my family is not welcome. I will vote and fight for all marriages so they can have their own kind of marriages of whatever they want. Home is where your people are. We are each other’s. I’m sorry you had to fight for the right to love your person.

Well I can share one amazing song that feels me up with so much that human language can't explain and that song is "Cradled In Love" by Poets of the Fall. Also I really enjoy "Saturn" by Sleeping At Last, simple, but full of magic music. I do enjoy a lot of the so called by my generation "old" music, like Bobby Hebb's, Marvin Gaye, Temptations.. So many more and very different others, just whatever trully connects with my soul! Best wishes from me too, James B.! P.S. 2022 and still the best duet i've ever heard. It's not just the music, or the singers, though without doubt they are amazing! It's also because the story behind these lyrics is so beautiful. There are moments when we are so very tired about life, love, and everything, but through this song they tryna tell us that it's okay if you have those feelings. It's very human of us to felt that way, to the point that we retreat ourself from surroundings. But the most important thing is, whenever you feel like exhausting, surrender, you know there are people who are willing to accept you, and embrace you, cause they are your home, and you are theirs. I don't know about you but this song reminds me of the 3rd part of Before trilogy. It's a grown up definition of love.

Where'd you get that look on your face? You should always let the sun go down on your anger Let it burn you to sleep Bring it closer to danger To surrender and retreat Sing your sad soul to sleep I loved you the first time I saw you And you know I love you still But I am tired And I am yours Don't even think about your freedom Or taking that flight Or going back upon your promise after fighting for the right Because your eggshells and your right statements And your weaponized words Are paper tigers now Oh your constant overthinking and your secretive drinking Are making you more and more alone And girl, you can slam the door behind you It ain't ever gonna close Because when you're home, you're already home I am tired I am tired I loved you the first time I saw you And you know I love you still I loved you the first time I saw you And you know I love you still I don't wanna be right anymore Lord, I don't wanna fight anymore I'm not taking your side anymore I am tired I am not my own And I am leaving And I'm coming home 'Cause I am yours, I am yours, I am yours, I am yours, I am yours I am yours, I am yours, I am yours I am yours, I am yours

Yes, yes, yesssssssss!!!! I have always LOVED Sam Smith! I only found out this summer about Brandi Carlile, when I was working one of her concerts in ATL. To say the least, I INSTANTLY fell in love with her and had to start doing my research on this artist that was new to me. Brandi is an AMAZING talent, that I think is under noticed. Thank you so much for this pairing and this song, it was beautiful, just as the each of you two!

I have watched this an obscene amount if times. I've loved Brandi and the twins music for well over 10 years now. It's about damn time they're recognised. It's criminal it's taken so long though. I truly believe Brandi's voice is sublime.

For me it is the sound of my wife and kids voice, as we laugh one more time. But I do agree Sam Smith's voice is great.
