My wife always comments on how easy you are on the cattle. The inter-tube to stretch out the calves is pretty slick, never seen that before.

Again a great and very varied video from you. So nice to see how you start your young horses with calm and serenity. Charging the calf and letting the mother follow her instincts was a great idea. I'm always happy to see you, you're a great team

What a beautiful cactus flower. That was stunning ❤. Your having a good loading cow time, gotta like that..work smarter not harder always works for me...interesting using gps collars, technology is coming a long way. But you gotta love that one cow that doesn't want to cooperate. Teaches what to do better..awesome week, miss that burning hair corral times, chuckle.. the country you work in is just beautiful to see..Great life❤

I have never seen that before till you guys channel. Do any of you guys use the Mecate Style reins like the old Vacaros long ago? If it is Spring Work time on Ranches you ain't No Cowboy.

Hi, thanks for you questions and comments. The trailer was a long ways away and we did not think we could get him to it. So we came back the next day and found him and got the trailer closer and took him home. Those little calves are amazing, super tough!!!! His mother had been dead for at least 3 weeks and he was still alive. We put him on some green grass and he is getting his strength back. Thanks for watching.

@shawnjack8092
@shawnjack8092 5 ай бұрын
Those collars belong to our neighbors and are on their cows. The are the first to use them in our area and so we are all waiting to see how they work. I am not sure of the name, but they are a GPS tracking collar as well as an electric fence collar, so they actually shock the cows when they get in areas that they are not suppose to be in. They hook together with a light weight chain and D rings

Just curious, why didn't you take that calf with you who's mother had died? You said you would pick it up on a day or 2, wouldn't it be dead by then? With no mother and no milk?
@shawnjack8092
@shawnjack8092 5 ай бұрын
Hi Jessica, thanks for the question. What is amazing about those little baby calves is, that they can survive something like that. The mother cow had been dead at least 3 weeks and some how that little guy was still going. We did go get him the next day, when we could get the trailer closer to him. I brought him home and put him in a little pen with grass in it. He would not drink milk so we are trying to get him to start eating alfalfa hay, but he prefers the grass so we hope he can make it. Thanks for watching and thanks for checking on that little calf
