@justforever969 ай бұрын
He owns a gun smithing shop and runs a KZbin channel dedicated to firearms. Why would he not know what to do with a light strike? Although better pointed in the air than at yourself or other people. Bullets that go almost straight up arent very dangerous (unless there happens to be a skydiver or aircraft right overhead). It will go up until it arcs over and then fall back down, reaching terminal velocity at some point, which for most common bullets it's nowhere near enough to really harm anyone. It's like having a pebble dropped on you, it might smart a bit. When people say how dangerous it is to fire into the air they mean that it's dangerous to fire upwards. If you are just aiming above the horizon, the bullet will just make a long ballistic arc and can be still traveling at significant speed when it comes back down way off in the distance.

So when you fire a box of ammo the head space is so out of wack, it will be only a demo gun.... It also removes the need of cleaning after corrosive ammo....
@recoilrob3243 жыл бұрын
Brandon acts like he knows what he's talking about....but I'll bet he's using CIP headspace gauges in a SAAMI chamber. If you look at the schematics there IS a difference in both the shoulder angle as well as the datum point where the depth is measured and slight rim variance. A CIP cartridge will drop deeply into a SAAMI cut chamber...which is what we're seeing here. If you look at the Heizer website ammo recommendations it specifies 'USA made (meaning SAAMI spec) non-lacquer coated ammo. Brass cased SAAMI spec ammo will work just fine so don't rag on the gun when you're too stupid (or is it on purpose to make a hit piece?) to use the correct ammo. Just for reference all the 'problems' Ruger had with their Mini-30's was due to them being chambered for SAAMI ammo.....which worked flawlessly...but people insisted on trying to run CIP spec ammo which created excessive headspace and lots of misfires. Of COURSE it was the guns fault!!! Please people....READ what the manufacturer says to use in the gun you buy and more often than not...it'll work just fine. This example here is like putting lacquer thinner in your new car and then complaining 'it doesn't run right'. Sheesh.....
@peregrine38453 жыл бұрын
@@recoilrob324 why the FUCK would you choose 7.62x39mm as a chambering and also make it so that it won't run with the overwhelming majority of ammo out there that people have/would want to shoot? You can't get any more stupid than expecting people to try and find, and pay a premium for, high quality brass cased x39 for a dumb SINGLE SHOT meme pistol. Completely ridiculous, don't even try to pretend that's even a little reasonable. You must have been an investor.
@spamviking8591 Жыл бұрын
I knew it was supersonic from the noise, but I figured just barely and guessed around 1200. So given that a 7.62x39 is what, 125 gr for the lighter loads, and a 9mm is 115 ish, they're going to have similar energies, and you've got yourself a single shot, breech-loading grenade that is slower to reload than a musket. @@luketimmer6108 might actually do better with steel, they’re usually cowboy loads so it shouldn’t have as much chamber pressure, and yeah steel won’t deform as much as brass so it should be better in that regard too. He should check the velocity with steel also so that we know how much it loses, not that any of us want it, but rather a morbid curiosity. If he wants to re build it I wouldn’t integrally suppress it, but he can get the head spacing right and leave out the ports. Then maybe it might be able to handle the brass. Basically a modern day FP-Liberator pistol from WW2. Those where cheaply made, terrible trigger, and one had one shot (although you could actually carry extra .45 ACP in the grip. If the head spacing was correct and you could actually hold a couple rounds in the grip, it would be great for arming rebels forces. Pretty sure the reason it won’t break open is that extra spacing is allowing the case to move back and expand some. Really surprised it didn’t blow up. But it us easy to conceal and get ammo, just walk up to the guy with a “real” gun and kill him and take his gun.

The storage compartment in the grip is to be filled with lead weights. That way, when you get completely frustrated with the POS, you can throw it at someone really hard and it will have a bit more weight to it and thus; possibly make them say "ouch" before killing you. However, filling the tactical grip storage mechanism with Skittles is also a good idea. M&Ms are not suggested do to the high potential of them melting. No one wants to see that mess.

We had one of these show up at our local shop. The customer complained about everything as stated here. We checked chamber dimensions and the one we had wouldn't accept a field gauge but did accept a no go. Took it to the range, found it failed all the way around with steel case ammo. Light strikes, requiring multiple trigger pulls to fire. Needed a tool to open the barrel, and a cleaning rod to remove the spent case. Switched to Fiocchi brass ammo, and it was a night and day change. Fired on first trigger pull, opened without a tool, though was stiff, and did extract the brass all but 2 times without the cleaning rod. Still would not trust it.

It certainly wouldn't be the worst idea ever if it was actually executed on properly, just a huge waste of unburnt gunpowder. Inch and a half longer barrel, fix the nightmarish head spacing, make the grip properly fit human hands and hold 3 spare rounds, fix the catch so it doesn't get stuck, give the spring enough oomph to fully kick a spent round out, and then it should be a pretty good armor puncher, basically a modern version of the old "Nazi Puncher" we air dropped thousands of into Italy during the Nazi Occupation in WW2.
