Many scholars, based on ancient medical science document findings, that it not necessarily was. F-FWD to the modern age where people that have received other peoples' hearts via transplant, not only picked up on likings, dislikings, food tastes. clothing style tastes, as well as liking colors, sports, and music they used to hate, but even knowing people only the donor knew, all the way to having memories that only the donor could have. I watched a documentary where several of these heart recipients identified details of events and occcasions only the donors could have experienced.

@@macheadg5erWhen Jesus was born if the flesh He, I believe, gave up some of His ability to transverse time. He became a more physical being, unlike The Father. The Father, still lives outside of time and the Holy Spirit is here in this side of Heaven now. While Jesus sits on the right hand of the Father, still only The Father will know the day, and the number of when to send His son to collect His bride. I.E. look at the Jewish wedding feast.

A message for the Child of God, we live in a spiritual world, so we need more than faith. In fact, in God' word we have the shield of faith, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, our feet fitted with the gospel of peace, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. Remember that God's word is our weapon to fight the good fight of this life. Come against the Devil and his schemes, especially when he tells you to be afraid that you won't have enough. Jesus is your provision, He is in you and you are in Him. He is always with you, so don't ever be afraid. Put on the full armor of God, and teach your beautiful children the truth about Jesus. Truth is often hard to uncover... That's why we are instructed in 2 Timothy 2:15 to "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." With God's Word, we need to thoroughly dig, examine, study and become detectives... The more we study God's Word, the more we will know about God and His will for our lives... And the more Christlike people, who do so, will become... Action is required, not merely belief, to become a disciple of Jesus Christ...

*Thank you, Brandon!!!* This one addresses some extremely critical points - esp: your fourth point. If a person *genuinely* believes Jesus, they will also genuinely trust Him and if their belief and trust are genuine, they cannot help but try their best to obey! We have so watered down the meaning of "belief" that many will gleefully walk the broad path and miss the narrow way. . It's easy to say "oh, yeah, sure. I believe Jesus is who He says He is." It is much harder to actually believe and trust with sufficient conviction to also obey. (And, NO, I do NOT mean you must earn your salvation, no one will ever succeed in that! But that's a whole 'nuther lesson. Please continue this series!)

I believe that Jesus trade was indeed being a stone mason. In the Mediterranean area of the world, people build and built using stone, brick, cement, and mortars. In his parables, Jesus talks of stones being rejected by builders and becoming cornerstones; he talks about a foolish man building a house on a shaky foundation made of sand; he talks about men building walls around their vineyards and towers to protect them. There is even a parable where Jesus asks, and im paraphrasing "Who is foolish enough to start building something without calculating the costs beforehand in order to avoid running out of money before the building is complete" So it is entirely possible that stone masonry was what Jesus did for a living before he started his ministry and began preaching full time. All Jewish men of the time were expected to have a trade, and that was Jesus's trade.

I have said for a very long time you have to understand in context, whatever is written. If you do not understand it in the context in which it was written, you will misunderstand what it says. Every time you might get lucky and understand something reasonably well, but you will not understand it as it was written and it doesn't matter what it is that was written if you don't understand it in its context in which it was written. Meaning the time the people, the meaning of the words at the time, meaning of words change over time. Translations from one language to another can change meanings, especially if they are not translated with the context in meaning of the translation whoever translated it would have the full intention of a translating it correctly. But if they don't have the understanding of the context in which it was written, they can miss translate something especially. Would you have multiple meanings of words or multiple words, meaning similar things? So I find far better understanding of scriptures when I understand what they were really talking about. Not what we think they're talking about. I have heard so many preachers ministers add their meaning to the words and scriptures because they just don't have anything else to put with it. They just don't understand it. They didn't have the proper training, the education teaching so I'm so thankful to all the people who went and learned hebrew and Greek so they could understand the scriptures correctly. I will never be able to learn Hebrew. I will never be able to learn Greek so those people who learn it and then teach with those in mind are so valuable to me

Finally, someone else believes this too. I had a conversation with an associate pastor, and he got a little irritated when I said there was more to belief than an intellectual acknowledgement. he disagreed and I wanted to give him some examples and he abruptly ended the conversation. If you look in the dictionary, belief, trust, and faith are the same word. Trust means faith and belief, faith means trust and belief, belief means trust and faith. When we believe in Yeshua, the baggage that comes from belief is trust, faith, and obedience. trust and obedience seem to be the most important. We see obedience more than anything else it seems to me.

Another great lesson. Brandon. You are absolutely correct that Hebrew is an _active_ language especially compared to Greek. It was the Greeks who "intellectualized" culture and language. Concepts such as Greek thought, Greek philosophy, Greek logic are examples of this change in thought process making the Greek language more intellectual and _passive_ in nature. Because we are products of the Greek (Western) way of thinking, we sometimes have trouble understanding some of Yeshua's teachings . . . as Brandon has been pointing out to us. Thank you Brandon for sharing your valuable insights. Happy Thanksgiving. Berachot.

It's why I use a Strongs Concordance Book, to get the actual meaning of these words to have an actual meaning, which makes the word even more powerful...preventing us from making a mistake as many have already. It's another reason I look up Bible scriptures in Biblehub--it has the strongs concordance and other references to the primary. I also enjoy using the Amplified Bible, it too gives clarification, but again if I need the root of a word. I simply use my strongs and look up the word there. APOSTLES APOSTLES APOSTLES!!! Those twelve men that Jesus chose were APOSTLES, a special name referring only to his first chosen to help him. After that many hundreds became disciples. What's become of the word "Apostle" these days. Hardly anyone uses it anymore! Mostly started in America surprise, surprise!!

It didn't start in America, so you don't know what you're talking about. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that the term only refers to the men who were first trained as Christ's proteges. Paul clearly mentions the office of "apostle" as being part of God's church government, and He can anyone He wants to be an apostle if He has a message for them to preach.

There were multitudes of disciples which the twelve were among. Jesus chose the twelve to be apostles, called to a specific office. The Greek term apostoloi means "messengers, sent ones." The twelve were given a unique ambassadorial office of authority and spokesmanship for Christ. They were also given supernatural powers to perform signs and wonders.

@@lynncw9202 I am unaware of the title apostle being dropped; at least it has not been at my church or the books and videos I learn from. If the title is being dropped by a church or pastor, I would suggest finding another whose teaching is faithful to the Bible.

Salvation and discipleship are two different things. Ephesians 2:8-9: For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Faith is trusting in Jesus as our savior. Jesus does want disciples, but being a disciple is not required for salvation.

@@Wanderpupil It is very good, salvation is a free gift. I clearly stated Jesus does want disciples, and verse 10 says we are created in Christ to do good works. However, when you change the meaning of believe, you are also changing the condition for salvation. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life". The work to be done for believe to fully trust in Christ alone for our salvation. Surrendering and devotion to Christ are works, and are only qualifiers for rewards after salvation. None of us can save ourselves, none of us keep salvation with our works.

If you want to know what God is like on a human level, you look to Jesus. I think its really quite beautiful that God stepped into his creation and chose to be a carpenter. It shows you he truly has a passion to create and to give to others. It is a part of his inherent nature to be the creator, and as he stepped into creation as one of his creations, he still wants and wishes to create. Truly beautiful

Very well said. I hope that ppl hear what he’s saying and come to the understanding that the 10 commandments, including the keeping the sabbath, are still in play today. If we really love Jesus and “believe” in him, then we will do what he says. 1 John 2:4-5-3 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. Please don’t let the surface level appeal of this world fool you into choosing it over the teachings of God. Choose God, not man.

VERY IMPORTANT!!...A while back, my friend and I (who are both Catholic) had a spirited debate about the only Truth that should really matter to mankind, which was to know not only WHO Jesus Christ really was but also to UNDERSTAND the importance of the Holy Trinity AS TOLD IN JESUS'S WORDS...Please let me explain... I told my friend that too much emphasis was made on how we identify ourselves from our faith...I claimed to her that we NEED TO consider ourselves Christian BEFORE we consider ourselves Catholic or Anglican or whatever... I blame the churches for that because ALL churches are led by human beings with the element of human error and even false biblical interpretation in some cases... In His Second Coming, Jesus will take back His Church (including Catholic and Protestant) from those who have corrupted it and He will restore His true teachings and revive His Church to its true intention...There will be only One Church for ALL to worship and revere Our Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning and will be forever and ever...We NEED seek The Truth from Holy Scripture ONLY (the Holy Bible), which best describes Heaven above and NOT from whoever is "beside" us... As a lifelong Catholic myself, I never completely understood the concept of being "born again" because it was not properly taught to me in catechism...But now it is SO IMPERATIVE to understanding that whole concept in order to understand the Holy Trinity...In John 3: 3-8, Jesus explains to Nicodemus in great detail how one must be not only born of the flesh BUT also be born of the Spirit in order to see the kingdom of God, which ties in the third part of the Christian Deity... "Having faith" ties into spiritual renewal or rebirth, however, having faith is also about believing and trusting that the Lord will come to save us...If you read John 14, Jesus puts the whole deity of Christianity in perspective...He spoke in great detail to His Apostles that if they loved Him, believed in Him and followed His commandments, they would be saved and He would come back to this world to take them Home with Him... Also in this chapter, Jesus explained to His apostles how to clearly understand the Holy Trinity...Jesus transcends the message to them that SHOULD they LOVE Him, BELIEVE in Him, and KEEP His commandments, He promises to send the Holy Spirit upon them, to come to live in them and be with them forever, even after He leaves to be with His (and Our) Heavenly Father...This was spoken very early in Jesus' ministry to his twelve Chosen people at the time to make them understand FIRSTHAND before He would form His church and appoint Peter to lead it...The 12 Apostles are deemed to be FIRST Christians, and NOT Catholics, because The Church at the time was not yet formed... In conclusion, I hope and pray that ALL CHRISTIANS, no matter from what denomination they follow, will pull together to bring back the true meaning of what HOLY SCRIPTURE reveals to us because it was, is and should be our only way and only source of where The Truth of Christianity is founded upon, based on historical fact and NOT fiction... As Christians, we still have a long way to not only PREACH JESUS'S message, but PROFESS it as well...

In regards for a "Christian" saying that Jesus never maintained that He was God; you rightly gave points to counter that argument. To say that Jesus never claimed to be God, is just plain disbelief in Jesus's deity (John 10:30). Jesus was NOT just a man. Jesus was and is the very God of very God and very man of very man. The God/man. One of the saving fundamentals of the Christian faith is the deity of Jesus Christ. If a man casts doubt on Jesus being God, he is not saved.

#1 John 20:21 "Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you." John 14:28 "Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I" John 17:21 "that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." Trinitarianism started with the first version of the Nicene Creed 325 AD, which is not scripture or scripturally founded doctrine. Step forward 2,000 years with many churches founded on a document, which is not scripture and which is not supported by Christ's own words in scripture. #2 Completely agree. The word we might use today is craftsman -- a person who knows how to create and build things from basic materials, like wood, stone, bone, leather, and other natural materials. Christ was able to turn water into wine so I suspect his understanding and ability was exceptional as a craftsman. Pure conjecture on my part but highly possible. #3 Absolutely correct. Thank you for that important clarification and distinction. #4 Excellent! In reference to Mark 16:16 "Whosoever believes and is baptized will be saved.", still some churches believe there is no need for baptism. Faith is a verb. Love, also a verb. Another great video!
