the difference that i see is that the seasoned broker’s advantage is, they already have a shipper and carrier list to work from where as the new broker is working from scratch

Technology is good but you still need a personal touch too. This way it's not a New McDonald's way of doing things where you never talk with the people that help support your business. I do like the ease so ta speak of a click and order way but..... there has to be a limit even then if nothing else buy to shake a hand and thank them for their business.

my biggest issue is when the prospect objects with " my shipments are customer routed or vendor routed" . i've tried the "well are you doing with any late shipments" or "what happens when they run out of capacity" but that doesnt seem to be working... Anyone care to help

customer routed means the customer is responsible for arranging transportation for the freight...so your follow up method would be null and void...
