So, a 0.4mm thicker spindle, bigger nuts & bolts, some knurling, and more uniformly wider body. Both have self-lubricating (e.i. lube not required) bushings. None of this really adds up to "better" IMO. Personally, I think they just wanted a more unique pedal since there are several brands using the sc-b686 from Scada. Both are great pedals, though. Alienation just needs an aluminum pedal and they'll have all the bases covered! Also, that 22" tire to go with the Vandal rims would great.

Looks good. Thicker pins feel better with Vans imo. Pins sit on a larger platform too, spreading out your weight better when landing big stuff. My switch from Race Face Chesters to Odyssey JCPC seems like a carbon copy of comparing these two. I like the bigger surface, the thicker pins and the knurling. I DON'T like the bushing/bearing system. Please let us know if you experience wobble. If they do NOT wobble I'll buy them tomorrow.

Yea man and the concavity also adds to that too. These are still in the development stage of things but the goal is to not have any wobble. Hit me up about them in a couple months. They should be closer to production by then

Bunch of $25 and I bought some petals off of eBay for 6$was that a smart choice because what did skatepro and dance off another one in almost 20 dollars just for those and I was trying to get it cheap with a good point with a 25$ limit I need to get a new set of bars mine are too short and I want to get a better that's around $25 something like afford I'm trying to do it like 25 dollars a week and get my parts to upgrade my bike what do you recommend also if I decided to build my own room again instead of keep going I have how would I go about getting the right parts that work together for the spokes hub and rim

From one of the first sets of 2 piece that had too short of a spindle before they switched to only 2 piece. A long enough spindle was implemented before the 2 piece version was made available

The DU bearing isn’t supposed to break down over time the way a sealed bearing will

I think they use du bearings so your pedals don’t freely spin, you want your pedals to stay in place but move with weight on them. I thinks it’s a compromise between very little resistance while you ride but staying in place when your feet are off during a trick.

Combination of not enough spacers and a previous set of the cranks with too short of a spindle.

These seem like they are using similar ideas to the eclat ak pedals. As long as these are a decent price I might take a look at them. Kinda odd they would advertise "virgin" plastic when recycling is such a big deal these days...plenty of plastic to recycle and re-purpose.

The foothold are decent in price so I’d imagine these will be too. Recycled has impurities that expose such to breakage

Recycling takes energy. That energy comes chiefly from coal. Recycling is a good thing when it actually makes sense. Just BEING recycled doesn't mean anything at all unless you know the details.

Looks like a great pedal, but what kinda bothers me is it's virgin plastic.. why not use recycled plastic like come on we're having climate issues anyways.. Idk what other companies do but at least they dont "flex" about their plastic being new becuz its definitely not a flex. Just saying, great review btw!

There’s only a couple pair of metals out there that have pins that can’t be beaten out by pedal stall stuff. The pins usually go through from the underside and when they get pushed out it ruins the threads and makes it so you can’t replace the pins anymore. Not everyone has that issue the way I do so it’s understandable
