He’s a sugar burner. My boyfriend was one of those and he was hard to deal with. And he never acknowledged it was because he was hungry, but it was always that. I could fast 20 hours a day and not act like that I worked in that environment and I fasted for 16 hours every day.. Burst out laughing when he threw himself on the floor, crying while the girls patted him down with cold compresses. He is so over the top with his theatrics, and Max is kind of right up there with him. Remember last episode Max was going to quit because he wasn’t getting a Boner in the morning? Until Sandy let him drive the boat. And now he’s making Sandy cater to his special dietary needs, I worked in this industry. And I cannot imagine acting like this.

I worked in the hospitality industry and for huge resorts in Palm Beach, where we catered to the mega, wealthy and a lot of celebrities. Most days I went 16 to 20 hours with no food. When I started running marathons and becoming super athletic, I always made sure that I had almonds and raisins or peanut butter on me at work because I knew even if they offered me food, it would be crap and it would plummet my energy never acted like max or kyle. 😂 I can’t even imagine.

This exchange is disappointing. Captain Sandy even repeated "You said there was no food for you downstairs" to Max, which he agreed with. "There is no food downstairs" vs "There is no food downstairs for me" have slightly different meanings. What he said and the context in which he said it was not a lie. To then go further and say what he did was wrong and to suggest he is insubordinate because he would not apologize is unproductive. Hasn't it been established that Max doesn't want to be there, but they asked him to stay? This is a weird way to treat someone who already wanted to go.

Nat's relationship was also a factor. She was full of stress, anxiety and hurt. Had Tumi done a better job looking out for her Nat would have made it. Kyle creates so much ugliness then he always gets sick (remember his tooth and sprained ankle last season?) and ends up getting everyone's pity. It's just a wreck of a crew. Poor Max, he always gets dumped on and I think it's because he's the easiest victim. He doesn't yell or scream or fight back, so he's the easiest person to attack. He's not a mean person. This has been a rotten season. I only watched for Nat and then Max. She's gone and he's treated horribly. I never want to see these people together on another boat.

One word of advice. Don't get into the service industry if you suck at PR its a 100% must have. Captain Sandy's not a dame babysitter she's a Captain and they need to do their dame jobs and work on making the best tips. There's far to much gossip bs going on id be sending people home fast because i wouldn't tolerate any of the bs ive seen Captain Sandy having to deal with. I would always have a stand by Crew at all times including Chefs ready to roll and make our guests happy because at the end of the day that's all that matters is the guests who are deciding how much im getting paid ? That is not a lie..just a different way of say things on the subject. Food is food no matter the type it is. Calling a person a liar that way, in my opinion, is over the top which is why I don't watch Capt. Sandy. And very important a lot of crew is from different countries meaning its easy to misunderstand one another.

Uhm.. if it’s something i don’t eat idgaf how much is down there THERE IS NO FOOD, it’s not a lie it was indirect communication she should have asked further questions and not jumped to the conclusion of literally no food when she knows her staff and then the fact that there is likely a SLIGHT communication barrier considering there’s different accents and ethnic/cultural backgrounds

Havent watched this season, heard it was crap. Watching a grown man sook and act like a hangry child was pathetic. Grow up, gotta look after the charter guests like children, i wouldn't appreciate also having to cater to the STAFFS temper tantrums 🤡

Captain Sandy is wrong. Don’t argue food with a Frenchman. That’s extremely ignorant. A whole revolution was fought because they fed the population primarily pasta or flour. Max deserves an apology from Captain Sandy.
