I started sugaring and I’m not looking back at another razor again! Shaving messed up my skin and gave me that dreaded strawberry look on my legs🤢 Literally the best form of hair removal out there and if you do it right it can give permanent hair reduction

@kendall7165

Stella-tan okay so i did my armpits for the first time today and it wasn’t to bad, it stung for like 3 seconds and went away but anyways, i followed one of her microwave sugar waxing videos and it actually works pretty good and i use the strip version of wax. You can you witch hazel or some kind of cleansing toner to use before you put on the powder and i use cornstarch but you can use baby powder as well. Then i applied the sugar wax against the hair growth and when i applied the strip i also applied that and pressed down the hair growth then i pulled the way of the hair growth and if you want you can apply pressure right after u take the strip off and then i applied an oil (tea tree oil to be exact)

Stella-tan also just watch all her videos under her sugar wax playlist, and sometimes in the description she’ll like tell you what u can use in substitute of the ingredients she used

i found that after a bikini sugaring session cutting a lemon in half and just lightly scrubbing the area i waxed with it really helps with inflammation and ingrown hairs that come after! it stings a little but it's nothing compared to the waxing itself lol. when i used to go to salons to get bikini waxes where they use liposoluble wax, i would get really horrible ingrown hairs and sometimes pimples. don't know why it was, maybe because of my overly sensitive skin in that area but, i think the lemon method is budget friendly and works on sensitive skin so i hope it helps if any of you are having the same problems i used to have! also thank you sooo much for the sugar waxing series!

I must be a masochist, because the pain for me isn't all that bad. If anything I just get a little ache. I find doing it after a bath or shower when the pores are open helps. Then, massaging the place with a cloth also takes the pain away. I've also tweezed my pubic bone area for so long it didn't even hurt when I sugared the area.

@Ashlyn Milton, Try threading. I personally find it the most effective method of hair removal for the face. It will be painful the first time, just like waxing but it will get better. It takes a longer time than other hair removal methods, but the results are phenomenal. There are plenty of self threading tutorials on KZbin. Hope this helps.

Omg I just found your videos after waxing my face and body for the first time. I used the nads facial strips but I go through them like crazy and by a miracle, I accidentally purchased what I didn’t know at the time was nads sugar wax. It’s not as firm as I’d like so I looked up how to sugar correctly. This is how I stumbled upon your information. I’m obsessed!! Shaving has never worked for me, my skin is so light that you can see the hair growing back literally the next day and I dull razors in one shower use. Waxing is so fun and satisfying. I’m definitely going to start making my own sugar wax. What a game changer!!🤯

@@abetweene after about three days I usually scrub the area with baking soda. Maybe once a week after that I will dry brush. Recently started to use a glicolic acid serum and I have seen some improvements. But since starting the sugaring method, about a month ago, I saw an impressive reduction in the amount of ingrowns I have. And now I am using a serum with BHA and AHA just for this problem. Thank you for the reply :)

You should do tests! Like cook it for 7 min, test it and if it's too hard you cooked it too much and if it's too loose you gotta cook it longer! Use the same pot, sugar, acid base and amount of each of those and make sure to write it all down. You'll get it eventually!

Hey girl! I have a quick question. So after numerous attempts to make the sugaring wax, I was finally successful last night! Was super excited to try it. I felt I did everything right; cleaned and exfoliated the area, powered down with baby power, applied in the opposite direction of hair growth, removed wax IN direction of hair growth, etc. but when I pressed my strip down and ripped away, I noticed that most of the hairs just broke off at the surface. I don’t know if this will have anything to do with it, but I have thick coarse black hair that tends to grow in opposite directions. It’s also worth mentioning that it was technically my first “wax” attempt, so maybe the hair follicles were just being extra stubborn? I don’t know, but any advice would be greatly appreciated! ❤️
@abetweene
@abetweene 4 жыл бұрын
its likely a change in direction, and like u said since its your first time & your hair is coarse, it can be difficult to have everything be consistent when the growth pattern is inconsistent. brush your fingers across those broken patches as they grow back, to help you determine what direction theyre growing in, and change your angles next time accordingly.

@@OriginalKenDoll Mine healed fairly quickly, like 2 weeks or maybe a bit more. I just tried to keep the area clean and dry and I put diluted blood orange and lavender essential oils on the area (because it's all I had and I think they're good for skin repair, don't quote me on it). I realized that my gaming headset and my pillow cases were high risk for dirt and oil and stuff getting on that area of my face so I cleaned those more regularly or switched them out and after that the breakout was extremely manageable.

Felted wool can be gentle enough to exfoliate with daily. I actually use it to wash daily in the shower because of my job (large machines, very dirty). The harder you press, obviously, the more surface it removes, but if you use a gentle pressure, you can even do your face daily with no damage.

i use the Neogen for light exfoliation abput a week or so after waxing, then i may switch to the Ordinary AHA ONLY on the pubic bone if my hair has started to grow back in and i feel i need stronger exfoliation.

I made wax from one of your recipes but our climate is so hot here so I used it with wax strips. As a first-timer, of course, I made mistakes and went over one area one too many times. Needless to say I am now trying to heal ingrown hairs, lol. Thank you for this video because I probably would not have tried to self wax again but now that I know how to treat my skin pre and post I'm excited to try again!

It's been a month since I first discovered your videos. I've just sugared my legs for the second time and literally they're so silky smooth even before i exfoliated my legs feel so sexy and the hair came out so easy. I only do my legs cause I laser my coochie and armpits. I did one strip on my brazillian and just decided to laser it lol it hurt so bad.

Omg, this brings back horrible memories. I was doing so good, but as soon as I got to the really kind of gentle area, I put the wax on and couldn't pull it. I woosed out and wshed it off . Maybe I should try again. I can't believe so many of you girls are so brave. The last bits hurt like a mofo I couldn't finish.

Thank you sooooo much, you have been the guide I have been looking for. I have watched any of, sugaring and self care tutorials and you have been the only one to get straight to the point. The break down, the when and the when not. When it comes to exfoliating, numbing, how to and the in between. I really appreciate the video and yes I have subscribed. The pictures and demonstrations were helpful as well. Do you have a video that shows how long the hair should be when you get a wax? If so can you send me the link in case I may have overlooked it? Again thank you for the tips and what products to use and what ingredient amount/percent should be in the product for it to work

@yvonnelee4385

Couple of questions since you’re clearly the sugaring queen according to my research 😂: Would you recommend trying a Brazilian if I’ve never had any sort of Brazilian done before? I’m a complete wax/sugaring virgin, razors used to suffice but my skin has become more sensitive due to a health issue! I definitely plan on trying it on my legs and underarms first and getting proficient at it before trying a Brazilian of course 😂 Would you recommend buying a sugaring kit first before trying the DIY option? Thank you for all your content and input!
@abetweene
@abetweene Жыл бұрын
no, I would not recommend a Brazilian for your first time. instead, try just doing your bikini line (the portion of hair that’s visible past your underwear.) underarms are a great place to start since its a smaller area compared to legs or other body parts. 👍🏼 its really up to you wether you want to buy or diy. based on how simple or difficult you find it will probably influence which. diying is nice for also experimenting with finding a consistency thats perfect for you not to mention cheaper. but it ultimately boils down to preference.

yes, rinse with water. you can then use a soothing agent if youd like (like fresh aloe or witch hazel) then apply a simple oil to moisturize.

Can we talk about sugaring and possible BV or PH imbalance ? Sugar scrubs are also something that i feel causes imbalances that no one talks about but promote
@abetweene
@abetweene 3 жыл бұрын
with sugaring the product never enters the vaginal opening nor have i or anyone ive known/encountered/spoken with ever experienced issues with yeast or BV from this form of waxing. If its a concern however your ph can easily be corrected by using something acidic such as diluted vinegar in your bath or shower.
