I was diagnosed with JRA at age 2, it is a brutal & painful disease. My joint damage is done & progressing & I can't even tell you how brutal the pain is. Feels like your bones are broken, they're hot tender, red, painful, stiff and inflamed. Thankfully they've been coming out with newer medications to stop the joint damage from progressing especially for those with newer diagnoses. Unfortunately for me, my joint damage is done and now I'm having organ involvement. Particularly with my heart & kidneys. Regardless, I hope both he & his daughters heal & live out their dreams, pain free and one day very soon without this awful disease! Merry Christmas 🎅🎄❤️

I am so sorry you have this hideous malady! My friend who has RSDS said that just being in the wind felt like someone poured gasoline on her and lighted it. She had to get a Spinal cord stimulator embedded in her body. The device has a remote control which she can turn on/off, depending on the level of pain, it does easy the severity of the pain. Wishing you and all people with this disease a device that eliminates the torture!

as someone with both reactive RA and fibromyalgia, I can tell you that either condition is horrible and alot to process as an adult. That something similar should happen to young children is too awful and too cruel. I wish this family every bit of good fortune they can reap from the gifts given by Secret Santa. I hope both girls find treatments that will help them be care-free and pain-free again xx

I know all about juvenile RA. My brother got it when he was 4 years old. They said he’d be crippled by the time he was a teenager, but he’s now 34 and still walking. This is because he did a lot of walking and riding his bike. He used to ride his bike from near Jacksonville Beach to World Gulf village in St. John’s County FL, about a 20-25 mile bike ride. RA is no joke and I wish the family the best. I might have RA myself, but it may also be psoriatic arthritis.

I have a friend she will help anybody and ask for nothing, and lives on a meager disability check from the government, she likes doing crafts in her garage, has poor to no heat in winter, this year I am gonna help here with,. My heart really goes out to this family! My family is dealing with a similar circumstance and my daughters are both treated through Seattle Children's. They have been a lifesaver for us. Though my daughter is not anywhere near control as we've been getting more departments added on to our list this time it was because we just found out she has low thyroid. Also getting ready to go for a GI workup at Children's. But they're main department is children's rheumatology. Their daughters are in great hands. Thank you for doing something for them. Having children that have to routinely go to Children's trying financially and emotionally. I will send out prayers for this family tonight and right now.
