hes in his territory!!! He looks so confident, tirreno is very different sharp peaks nullify his power as he puts it out , not a spinner, he really stomps on pedals so these constant rolling hills are perfect as he loves to attack on any of theses hills Arrate will be a test.. Will not be surprised if he wins miltiple vueltas like roglic. Hes still 22 and absurd power even in tirreno pogacar said over any bump in the road hed mark him and times have to close him down citing how power.ful he was. Giro especially and tour have the high jagged peaks that don't suit him imo like a vuelta would being time trialist and measuring efforts the hills followed by steep ramps but not 25k climbs are much more to his suiting like little launch pads. Hope he wins for his true confidence he took a lot of flack from tirenno be happy to see him win biggest race of career so far. Think Jonas getting to sit on with team mate in leaders jersey was smart tactically he will be fresh tomorrow and danny, vlasov, bilbao bunch of guys in the thick of it I love this race favorite one week GC race of year since i really got to follow closely in alberto, valverde, purito years. I think Jonas has played it smartest and looked great saving energy and Danny has certainly looked great he should lead Tour team imo , but some reason I think remco takes it. His team especially having a world champion to close down moves is priceless. It will break apart but when it does all will be tired. We still havent seen jonas attack yet is only concern because he played team had jersey card today. Podium Danny, Jonas, Remco not sure order :) Love this race!! enjoy

@@fabianbenavides1843 It was a very impressive performance and I'm happy for him but the maths doesn't lie. The whole stage I was thinking: I bet he wins, Martinez comes 2nd and misses out on GC lead because of the bonus seconds and that's exactly what happened. I hope for Ineos sake that they manage to break Evenepoel today and don't end up screwing themselves out of the GC win.

Evenepoel gonna be the contender for Pogi. not Roglic
@ryanphelan68612 жыл бұрын
Idk there was a difference at tirreno of a few minutes hes built more in form Rog with power and like rolling hills more than long sharp climbs his cadence is slower so but be brutal to get the power out on big steep mountains I think that's last tool he needs top figure out roglic had too he adopted a very high cadence for a couple years he attacked from saddle like frpoome used too. As hes got more comfortable on bike rog is even almost winning Fleche which makes sense as former ski jumper his flexibility you see on TT bike he uses to really punch out the power on steep walls. Why vuelta has suited him so well rolling hills and steep walls he loves both and never mind Time trials. Remco looks great though he could win and surprise some we haven;t seen jonas attack as we will tomorrow but always some games remco likes to just push on can't wait to see. BIlbao and vlasov have been great but remco, danny, and jonas seem 3 strongest from what I've watched. Aratte is first real proper mountain climb. Be huge for his confidence thats for sure!!!! Love to see him do it. He takes way to much criticism for a guy whos 22 and nobody else rides like. imo

I know that this will not be a popular comment. If you are going to finish a race with an uphill sprint, then hopefully the rider's handlers know to get them onto rollers immediately. Having suffered a cardiac event much like Sonny Cabrelli's during an x-c ski event that finished uphill, I think that it is incumbent on organizers to all an area for cool down immediately adjacent to uphill finishes.

It’s not against the rules the way Rodriguez raced, but I would be ashamed to raise my arms for this ‘ victory’.
@andresucu2 жыл бұрын
Why? Why would he pull just to give the race lead (gc) to the other guy?
@tomeklubomir2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely agree with you maikel voors, team tactics aside, if you sit on someone's wheel the whole time you're in the breakaway together, letting him do all the work (not helping at all) and then have the nerve to attack him and go for win. Don't think they'll be friends after that... lol

Rodriguez was behind Soler on GC and his teammate Martinez is one of the favorites to take out GC. Pulling to help Soler overtake would have been remarkably stupid. It's just tactics, and it was quite a way to have a first win
