Hey! Say something we ALL don't know! Lol. There's maybe 2 or 3 parts that an actor was not only born for but just literally knocks it out of the atmosphere. Val as Holiday, Heath Ledger as the Joker of course, & Christoph Waltz as Hans Landa in Inglorious Bastards. Sure, there may be a few others but these 3 come to mind. Ok, I HAVE TO ADD: Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister.

Agreed, of all the movies that and all the people that win those awards it's never the ones I have on the shelf and most certainly isn't the ones I watch over and over with the exception of the excellent work of Clint Eastwood. Top Westerns of all times: Outlaw Josey Wales, Pale Rider, Tombstone, The Unforgiven, Dances With Wolves and I do like the Costner version of Wyatt Earp. To be fair about it, I like long versions to tell the whole story and I've read as many books about the life of Wyatt Earp as I could find. I'm 5'6" 140lbs, I was a bouncer and I used what I call Wyatt Earp'ism and it worked extremely well. Given the physical frailty and mental dexterity of Doc Holiday, of course he was one of my all time favourites too. There are other great westerns, I thoroughly enjoyed the new Magnificent Seven, for example, but I think those I listed above aren't just some of the Greatest Westerns, they are some of the Greatest Movies ever made, at least, by my account and being 51 years old, I was only 21 when Tombstone was made. Val Kilmer will always be Doc Holiday to me and thus, what a job he did as a great actor.

@ParappatheRapper9 жыл бұрын
I always did wish he got more credit for the very understated performances he gave. It was so easy to believe he was a cowboy from his looks, to his voice, to the way he moved, it was basically perfect. I like too how he (playing as Virgil) gives that speech about justice and making money off suffering of the people (whether it was genuine or not) was brilliant because of how little that character did and said up to then. Amazing actor and pretty great acting all around. I really can't say I'm a Bill Paxton fan because he just comes off as too goofy, though this role worked in his favor as a sort of a naive and simple guy. Anyway, I'm rambling. Great movie.
