That's a story Walt tells himself. Another analogy for his journey is the Georgia O'Keefe door. Hes the same guy he always was, from when he was still a rockstar scientist, to when he was a repressed and disrespected teacher, to when he was Heisenberg. It's the same door. But context changes

PseudoPsychoSports Another cool part about that door metaphor is Walt has 3 birthdays throughout the show. The first birthday, he walks through the door and has dozens and dozens of friends and family there to surprise him when he comes through. His 2nd one, he walks through the door and it’s just his kids and Skylar, just saying hank and Marie are coming over for dinner. His 3rd, he walks through the door of his abandoned home and he’s completely alone and brittle. It’s brilliant, really

Breaking Bad is my favorite show so I'm biased but this was the best season finale ever. It wrapped up every loose thread and gave the perfect ending to Walt's story. That end scene was just fantastic especially as the music kicks in. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are such good actors and they absolutely killed it in this episode. Aaron especially because he had so few scenes to do it. But Jesse's emotions come off as so believable you almost forget it's acting. You feel his rage when he strangles Todd and his relief and excitement is so palpable when he finally escapes. I loved Hannah's reaction to the Nazis getting gunned down. And I think it's safe to say that Hannah was all of us when Jesse strangled Todd to death. I was always under the impression that Walt's original plan was to gun down everyone in that room, including himself and Jesse, with his trunk gun. But then when he saw Jesse and that he wasn't Jack's partner but instead his slave, Walt changed his plan to save Jesse. Even after everything there was some fucked up bond between these two that they couldn't forget.

Jesse was also like a son to Walt. And since he never got a proper closure with his actual son I think he decided to make amends with Jesse in the end
@MLennholm4 жыл бұрын
You're not biased! The reason you consider this your favourite show is the same reason you find it the best finale ever. Bias would be if you had some connection to the show or its subject matter outside of the show itself. Like if you knew someone who worked on it or you related to its protagonists because you were a meth cook yourself.
@mechadoggy2 жыл бұрын
“Even after everything there was…” It just shows us that for once, Walter finally listened to his conscience. “I loved Hannah’s reaction to the Nazis getting gunned down.” It makes me wish we got more scenes of them brutally torturing Jesse so that not only would their deaths feel more satisfying but also so that we viewers can get to see more of Jesse’s beautifully agonizing screams. I really wanted to see them put out their cigarettes on Jesse’s body, carve “RAT” onto his back, and throw razor blades at him like a human dartboard.

Hey loving Hannas reactions. Also one last note: the Ricin. From near enough thee begin of the show the ricin was implied but never ever used. It was made initially to poison Tuco all the way in S2 but never happened. It was also used to kill Guss and trick Jesse into getting on Walts side in S4 and finally when he goes to collect it from his house where it has been dormant since he fooled Jesse into thinking it was in his cleaningmachine in his house. The relief finally of him using it to effect to murder Lydia. Was satisfiying. The ricin is a film trope I think it is a maguffin but might be something else. I've felt this way about this show and many other things but when you think about it little more, you realise it would be pointless. If you erase your memory of experiencing it and watch it again, no matter how many times you do it, you will always only have the memory of the most recent time you watched it, so there would be no benefit of experiencing it multiple times. It would literally be as if you had never watched it before. POLICE OFFICERS approach him now -- four, six, eight of them. They move in cautiously, their guns aimed. They’re too late. He got away. We continue SKYWARD, looking down on Walt, rising as high as we can go. Off this image, slowly FADING TO BLACK... END SERIES

@Jeremy-jm3fe5 жыл бұрын
@@kevincos4450 Jimmy and Mike are fleshed out more, yes, but that's it. Gus is absolutely *not* more interesting, all he does in the series is wait around patiently with none of the payoff that BB has. His role in BCS is basically useless in season 4, as most of the superlab construction plotline is filler. The pacing of BCS is not why I stated it is not as interesting. After all, even BB is slower than a lot of dramas. Your typical drama series is fast paced like Lost or Sons of Anarchy, and I do not like either of those shows, so don't mistake me for someone who needs constant action. The dynamic between Walt and Jesse is the most captivating and entertaining thing I have seen in a TV show. Jimmy McGill has an intriguing story, especially when it comes to his relationship with Chuck, but it does not surpass Walt and Jesse. Also, what the fuck does "constant acting" even mean? Every show has acting. BB doesn't have that many gun scenes either. Please stop saying dumb things.

Loved the reaction, but I really feel the need to interject whenever I hear this. Walt DID NOT get screwed over by Gretchen and Elliot. Walt left the company of his own accord because he didn’t like the fact that it was going to be initially funded by Gretchen’s family money. He got prideful and hurt and decided to go forge his own success and he ended up a underpaid high school teacher working a second job to make ends meet. And then years later, Gretchen and Elliot generously offered to bring him back on and help pay his treatments despite the fact that Walt abandoned the company. People need to stop spreading this rumor that Walt was fucked over just to make him seem more sympathetic. Everything that has happened to Walt (besides his cancer) has been a direct consequence of his choices.

I think one of the messages of the series is that Walt never felt alive before he started to do meth,ecc... He was like sleeping all his life until he found the cancer. Then he awake and he found only an illegal way to be alive, the best in something, ecc... At the end he lived the last two years of his life like he wanted, it cost him alot but I think he is happy how it finished.

I rewatched the show because of your reactions and I'm grateful to you guys. I underestimated it at first. This is truly some epic television, with one of the best TV show endings of all time.

Yeah I was so disappointed that Hannah didn't watch El Camino with them , instead they watched it with the other crew . I'm sure they had their reasons , but still missed the three of them together .

Of course Better Call Saul. But I really hope they watch The Wire someday!

At 19:22 Walt taps on a gauge which says "Weiss", which is German for "White". Interesting. I've seen this show countless times and never noticed that before. Also, if I remember correctly, the "reason" Walt had Gus get rid of Gale was that he set the equipment at the wrong temperature, 75 degrees instead of 85. Well, the gauge in this scene is at about 85-86. Is that a nod to Gale?

Jane was only being held together by her father, and she saw that money as a way to get away from her fathers control. She would be a junkie again and they would burn through that money (over some amount of time) and they would definitely come back to shake down Walt again. She would have a taste of freedom from her fathers control and never let that go again. It sucks she died, but she definitely wasnt innocent. I feel bad for Andrea and Brock tho.

Oh c'mon you should show us the scene when Walter looks at his son too. That's one of the saddest part of the show imo.

Yes Breaking bad was never my genre but I’m so glad I watched it from then I started watching other great shows like Sons of Anarchy and banshee, two different shows but a similar genre which both were amazing. I highly recommend y’all react to both.

Their discussion at the end about Walt saying he should have quit, he did quit. To bad for Walt that Hank had to take a shit.
