38:55 lol while I understand the disgust with Walter, I think the problem criminals have with ratting goes beyond a warped sense of morality. Imagine you choose to enter into some illicit business, and you have a partner. You both commit a bunch of crimes, then your partner informs on you and gets a sweet deal or even complete immunity, while you have the book thrown at you for the same crimes. From this perspective it's easy to see how it is considered extremely cowardly. It's obviously a desirable outcome that Walt face punishment, but is Jessie really doing "the right thing?" Debatable. His first choice was to burn Walter's house down, and Hank had to force him at gunpoint to stop. While I totally understand his feelings, he's ultimately after revenge here, not justice.

Amazing explanation ❤ I hope that they are gonna read this comment and understand
@googlee88826 ай бұрын
Exactly, and this explanation is why I never grew to hate Walter at least as much as everyone else did watching this show. Did he do a lot of terrible things? No doubt. But everyone that was involved was equally as terrible in my estimation. There was never any moral high horse for anyone that was involved in the entire ordeal for me. Only real group that was clean was Walts family. Outside of them, everyone was apart of some dark shit. Did Walt play catalyst to a lot of it? Sure but once you dip your toe in that life, you're now no better than anyone else.
@comeatmebro81206 ай бұрын
@@googlee8882 Nah sorry, but to say that Jesse is equally as evil as Walt is ridiculous. Yeah, you can say that they’re all bad people in some way, but some are undoubtedly worse than others. Gale wasn’t as terrible as Walt, for example even though they were both involved in that life. It just feels too simplistic to write off all those characters as equally evil, and I doubt thats the message the writers were intending to get across

@comeatmebro8120 if a viewer is going to try and take the moral high ground how will one defend one over the other? People only started growing an allegiance toward Jesse because how much they grew to hate Walt. Yet, they only hate Walt because he was the focal point of the show, so the show focused in on all his evils and how they directly effected the people closest to him. Could've easily had the same effect though, toward Jesse, if the writers made his vantage point the focal point. Is there nuance to evil acts and the level of severity those acts have? Sure. But I take issue when every single reactor on a surface level mindset just acts as if they want the worst to come to Walt and the best to come to Jesse when Jesse was complicit in so many wrongs. Now, can we say Jesse was young and impressionable when Walt first approached him? Yeah. But, with every action Jesse committed throughout the show presented say, in a court of law, would that make him any less guilty? Not in the slightest. Im just saying in real life I'm not a "this guys evil but this guy's more evil than that guy so let's root for the lesser of two evils" but that seems to be what every reactor that I've seen is doing.

And now Jesse secretly helps police to get his revenge on Walt (Jesse isn't doing this for some selfless moral duty, otherwise he'd turn himself in to proper authorities and get a lawyer, not some secret off the book mission that gets two officers out in the desert alone without backup).... and this is how things turns out.

Even Jane, blackmailed him, and he wasn't even the main culprit in killing her. He didn't inject her with heroin to start puking and choking. He did push her on her back though. And the poisoning of Brock, ruthless, but I get it, he thought it was the only way to save himself. Certainly not something he should have done, but it was not as evil as you make it out to be. @@Mandalore_ultimate Walt is a very conflicted character. A genius who had to watch his former colleagues go on to great success, while he was left behind making poor money as a teacher. Struck with cancer, he had not much time to live, but he still loved his family dearly and wanted them to be taken care of even after he is gone. He wanted to make money the best way he knew how to. Hank should honestly have let it slide, I know I would have looked the other way if it were my family.

@@Mandalore_ultimatebro perfect? He murdered countless people, poisoned a child, bombed a nursing home, watched the girl that Jesse , who he supposedly considered like family, loved die in front of him and then told that to his face, etc. that’s not just “not perfect” that’s just plain bad . God you people are so dumb. The whole point of the show is “breaking BAD” . The good guy at the beginning that you root for turns bad by the end. You’re SUPPOSED to not like him by the end. That’s literally the entire point . Blows my mind that people out there just completely overlook the horrible things Walt did . You can mourn the character Walt was and you can even understand why he got to where he was and even feel bad for him in some ways. But you can’t overlook the horrific things he’s done. He’s gotta pay the consequences for the horrific shit he did. And Hank should’ve just “let it slide” ?? 😂😂😂😂 you realize how dumb and ridiculous you sound? Dude worked his entire life to hold criminals accountable and finds out his own brother in law murdered a bunch of people and built a drug ring and was the reason he was targeted and almost killed and he’s supposed to just let that slide?? You’re out of your goddamn mind. I seriously question your character if you root for him and overlook all that shit.
