Could not of said it any better!!! Thanks Alan . During the RV rush to buy RV’s . Casita , that makes a small fiberglass camper , they did not increase production. They keep everything the same . People just had to wait much longer until their unit was built. Kudos to them! 😁👍

47 yrs in const, estimated and purchased materials for est. 10,000 houses. All labor and materials are at lower quality for the most part, along with engineers, inspectors, supervision, etc. So buyer beware do you homework and cross your fingers. Enjoy your show. We bought our first RV in 2017. We bought Lance as they had good reputation. Unfortunately, they refused to fix issues. We learned to fix ourselves. We loved traveling with it, but after plandemic, campers became terrible, rude inconsiderate. We sold our Lance and returned beck to tent camping. This way, we can escape further from rv campers

Great take on an industry that's obviously in financial crisis. What struck me as you were explaining the market and the dynamics surrounding the RV manufacturing market, was that the large companies that come in and purchase these "mom and pop" manufacturers have a market opportunity to either self correct or implode. As people get more and more leery of investing in these poorly built RVs, the losses will come no matter what they do. So, why not accept that the crash is coming and start to make the expensive correction now? Just bite the bullet and offer to fix every 5 year or less (as an example) RV issue at no charge. Then start the process of building a similar warranty around all new products that you make. Use that as your new marketing campaign and put pressure on your employees to stop the horrible build quality or replace the bad technology you are using and just brand yourself as the good guys in the RV world. I assume that's what some are trying to do like Brinkley and Oliver etc.... But why not one of the big boys like Forest River or Thor? Oh well, I guess it's their dilemma to unlock.

You're missing the point. Individual employees don't care about the quality of their work. They want a bigger paycheck for as little work as they can get away with. Let us sue employees and see if quality doesn't improve.

At the end of the day, as always (and in every industry), the best way for the RV industry to protect "itself", is to protect it's customer. We should have all learned this in grade school. Because what goes around comes around. "You can't cheat the world, not without cheating yourself to the very same degree" - Deek Johnson. The RV industry thinks it's acting in it's best interest. But by the law of physical reality, they are in the process of Bud Lighting themselves. Just like Adobe is now too, and so many other industries. Get the popcorn out!

Wingman please read the book The Fourth Turning by Neil Howe and William Strauss. It will help explain what is happening in America and the world. You will be surprised by the patterns it shows. Having had an OEM RV electronics business in the late 80s and early 90s I can tell you it was bad back then. The entire RV industry needs to be dismantled and reconstructed. The only decent unit was Prevost, and you paid for it. Now I wouldn't buy a new RV regardless of price.

Prevost is still the only one I would buy new. We only buy used now and inspect the living crap out of it, then pray it holds up well.

For the last 4 years I'm looking for an RV. I found the one that I like. 130k before tax shmax and so on. For what? Bad quality, cheap material, months of repair time, gas prices and more regulations in state and national parks?. It looks like it took the wind out of that dream...

because they cost a fortune, then it takes a fortune to operate and maintain them, the quality is absolutely gone to where they fall apart in months from new, it's hard to get tires that last and when they blow out the destroy all the paper thin metal and wood around them. nope, they can take and shove them right where the sun doesn't shine.

Some of the problem with all the food service industry is they expanded too fast . . Too many sticks & bricks locations! They got too greedy! Same with RVs . . Etc. Jmho.

A few years back when getting a quote. One line on the estimate was RIVIA charge. So the manufacturers don't pay for their own organization, we do. Not sure this normal but seems dead wrong.

I really appreciate your videos. Up until 2010, (divorce), my wife, daughter and I did a lot of camping (Coleman Fleetwood Pop-Up) which we actually loved. I think we bought it new sometime around 1998 and enjoyed it for many years. Now, single, 58 and recovering from spinal cancer, I really want to buy a used camper trailer (not a pop-up). I’m so frightened about purchasing a used camper (paying cash from retirement) . I really wish, much like real estate, there were some kind of buyers agent, who knows enough about them, to help me make a sound purchase. This would be a one shot deal, nothing financed, but I’m so worried I’ll wind up with a lemon, that I’m hesitating about living my dream, for whatever life I have left.

My home+car insurance is up over 23% since last year. Yet the media says inflation is now at 2.4%. If you look at the quantity of food, the sizes of all wrapped snacks, cereal etc. are way smaller for a higher price tag. Pet food? You don"t want to know. Hang on to every dollar if you have one because our country nis on its last legs. Just look at the gargoils in Government. A wretched bunch.
