It's just crazy to see how far Walter fell from grace. He literally went from being so hesitant of killing Krazy 8 that he wrote a pros/cons list on why he should/shouldn't kill him. He even apologized tearfully after killing him. Then by season 5 he was so used to killing people that he poisoned Brock without so much as a second thought. What makes this all so scary is how realistic it is for some people to become more complacent with killing people after awhile if they become someone ever becomes an inconvenience to them

A lot of Walt's killing is an act of self defense when you think about it. Same principle applies but the plot is just getting more and more complex. Think of Gus, it was one of the best matchup I've seen in a tv show. In season 5 , it's like a second nature to him though.

@@cameronsummers4893 - It's a really interesing discussion to have! If we consider all Walt's killing were done under legitimate motivation, it means some other argument is needed to decide when he crossed the line. You see for me it's letting Jane suffocate. Granted Walt didn't provoke that but he could have save her and he made an informed decision to refrain to interveen. So to me, it's the fact Walt decided to go against what we would consider the moral thing to do. He's not a murder in the acts in this scene but definitely in spirit.

I love the way the writers and Cranston play with the “why are you doing this?” Line. Walter clearly is talking about Krazy 8 but I feel like he’s also directing that question at himself, “why am I about to murder this man?” And considering the whole first season is the genesis of Heisenberg and Walter clearly has two distinctive personalities, in hindsight Walter could just be talking to himself. Also that shot of Walter at the entrance of the basement is absolutely haunting considering the monster he’s becoming.

@Grahf0 3 жыл бұрын
@@danzam40 I was thinking of something more direct, like a homemade tranq gun with the proper chemicals to just knock his ass out and then do what you need to do. And then comes the French Connection 2 bit. In that movie the bad guys kidnapped Gene Hackman's police character and drugged him up while he was restrained, to the point that they pretty much made him an addict. Walt already makes drugs, so he has the means and knowledge, so there's that. OD after he gets tranqued. Also, it would be no trouble at all for Walt to take apricot seeds, bamboo, cherry seeds or any other number of things and extract cyanide from it. The KGB used to use cyanide in spray form to kill people. And getting it on your skin is just as bad in some cases, even worse if you have the right accompanying chemical. Could also gas him with something like nitrous oxide, helium, or even put a grill near him with some charcoal briquettes and light them to give off carbon monoxide. Any gas you could flood the basement with and come back later, or spray into his face from a distance. Argon would work as well, but any of these gases usually have the characteristic of your body not totally experiencing the realization that it's suffocating. It's often why they are chosen for suicide exit bags.

Jesse's justification to Walt to be able to finish the job was "you'd be doing him a favor" but I feel like just knowing the line of work Krazy 8 is in and the fact that he was actually trying to kill them or use them to cook and then kill, would have been justification enough to make it easier.

Krazy 8 lack of experience and young man ego got him killed... should have waited for walt to let him go and then attack him.

"The moment I do, are you gonna stick me with that broken piece of plate?" The question that created Heisenberg. Think about it.

Why did he feel the need to ask this question? 🤔
@QuietlyCurious
@QuietlyCurious 3 жыл бұрын
@@mrD66M To confirm Krazy's intention to kill him. Walt didn't want to kill the guy if he didn't have to. To kill him under any other circumstance would have been unjustified, which would have made him feel so bad he'd never touch the drug business again and there'd be no Heisenberg 😎

I know hints of the birth/ genesis of Heisenberg came before this like when he push the teens in the clothing store or other moments but I truly believe this was the Birth of Heisenberg with Walt having his Cherry pop into the life of killing .

@@DanielCh9393 uhhhhh you sure? I feel like everything that happened at the neo nazi compound...that’s just outright murder there’s very little ulterior motive there for Walter, he fully intended to show up and just whack everybody, including Jesse. Most of the time there’s at the very least an ulterior motive for Walter to kill anyone really.
