Adams has already earned most of his guaranteed money. Yes we can pull 10 million from next year to this year and lower next years cap. But in no way are we on the hook for another 88 million on his contract. I fully expect this year or next year to be his last year in Vegas.

I think DA will restructure if he needs to. He’s already got his guaranteed money so restructuring should not be a problem for him. I don’t see DA holding out or something stupid like that. He loves his family situation and being able to play for the team he’s lived his whole life. In our ability to attack offense s and create turnovers and score points. Raiders have never had that as far as I can remember. I understand people wanting to trade Davante Adams bc of his massive cap hit but IMO its too late to trade Adam's because the last thing you want to do is submarine a locker room before the season even starts. The culture right now is the best it has ever been so why should we jeopardize that? The players would not respond well to the front office/coaches if he gets traded during OTAs. His leadership on and off the field would be greatly missed during the summer and throughout the season. Max can't do it all.

I’m not that high on Spillane and especially if he’s gonna want $12 mil a year but at $6 or $7 mil is doable. He’s a good LB but he’s not great LB. I wouldn’t be disappointed if they let him hit the open market. I’m hoping this kid Eichenburgh can step in? Younger, Faster and most importantly CHEAPER. He sits this year to learn from Spillane and then takes over next season.

Signing RB's to a big contract after their first 5 year contract has proven to be a terrible strategy. By the time an RB who has a lot of carries reaches 27 or 28 they are already past their prime and on the way down.

I want the raiders to do everything in their powers to create cap space needed to resign all the players they want to keep. If O'Connell shows he's the leader at qb for the next few years. The raiders need to have the win superbowl now mentality within the next couple years. Right now we will have a qb under the rookie salary cap. This is now the window to have a superbowl run.

It’s always been my understanding that any unused cap can be rolled over to the next year so even if we don’t pay Adam’s contract down this year we can still roll that money over to next year to help ease his cap hit if I understand things correctly. That’s assuming we don’t move on of course.

I feel Koonce is kinda tied to Tyree’s performance. If Tyree breaks out, you can’t overpay for Koonce, that’s why you drafted Tyree. If Tyree has another Cle Ferrel type year, be more aggressive with Koonce. Not sure you can pay Maxx, Wilkins & Koonce all $20M+

CB N Hobbs is also one of the few long SCB's in the NFL which allows him to play on the outside in a pinch or event of injury. He can also play Safety in the event of injury or as a 3rd safety that DC P Graham likes to use. He's also a great tackler and can blitz from anywhere due to that size.

Just because we have salary cap space doesn't mean that we are to waste it signing over the hill free agents. What we don't use rolls over to next year. We have a lot of free agents such as Moehrig, Hobbs and Koonce. You keep guys that are special and are long term answers. You just don't resign guys just because we drafted them. You cannot over pay players. We drafted players like Eicheburg to lessen the blow if Diablo or Spillane doesn't shine. We drafted Taylor and Smith last year as insurance to losing Epps and Moehrig. It's how its done.

Good point! But Moehrig is A LOT better right now then what we've seen from Smith/Taylor. Plus Moehrig was a highly drafted player. We need those young guys to show us something before we replace any of the home grown talent

That isn't great. Antoine Winfield signed for 21 million per this offseason. Thats the market now. 19-21 per year. Bottom line he isn't worth that. Thats what he's going to want. And some teams will pay it, hopefully not the Raiders

@@KennyP99941 He’s great, just not a superstar with a big mouth, you’re relying too much on stats, if you look at the tape, he’s great in coverage, and is huge in the run game, but he doesn’t have pic sixes or turnovers like daron bland so now he’s suddenly not worth it😑. As a sidenote, idk if you know how hard it is to get a pic in the nfl, like you can’t just force it happen, a’lot of things have to go right and fall into place to get one, there’s only been a handful of few of people who can consistently get ints throughout their career, and most of them are legends. Also I don’t get how it’s a bad thing how he’s literally had 3 out of 4 of his ints last year, that just shows how much he’s improving When’s the last time you seen this dude get burnt for a big play, or just flat out missed his job, it dosen’t really happen.
