Isn't it bad to wide open throttle during break in? I want to WOT my bike but I don't want it to blow up at the same time.
@trentbikesАй бұрын
Not really. Just get it tuned/dialed in. WOT for 5-10 seconds, then slow down and cool down, and repeat.

You should try some Klotz bean oil it's castor oil with a red dye in it I believe it's 80% castor and 20% synthetic smells great

I use a 1l water bottle, put about 1l of gas, european 98 octane, motul 710 or 800 factory line road racing, 1:32, and thats pretty much what i do, i put my oil woth a medical syringe, even tho i do 1:32 i always put that tiny bit of oil more, so makes it prob 1:31 or something like that

I'm in the process of breaking my engine in at the moment I ran 20 to 1 fuel mix just regular Walmart universal 2-cycle oil after I'm done two tank fulls of that I will switch it over to full synthetic
@michaelbrinks80892 ай бұрын
1st thing I did was take apart the new engine, inspect & cleaned all the metal dust and metal shavings out.....Then just ran 32:1 for break in. Riding slow 50- 75% of throttle for 3 heat cycles. While checking for loose 🔩. On the 4th ride I started riding like normal with 0 issues....Some people get super OCD about break-in running 20:1 oil or more for 3 full tanks. Taking a month to break in a $75 engine. Many chainsaw builders who have rebuilt 50+ saws. Say all they do is make sure it's clean. When put back together. Start it up, do 1 heat cycle, shut it off, check everything. Maybe check it over again on #2 start up and then use it normally. Basically 1 or 2 heat cycles and 🔩/leaks check...With 0 problems from little to no break in. Others say 40:1 from 1st start to end of engine life with no issues. I like to run about 35:1 but 32:1 to 40:1 really doesn't make much difference. 32:1 will actually run a little hotter temp 🔥 than 40:1 but despite running say 15F hotter. It's providing more lube. An accurate YT chainsaw temp temp. Showed 25:1 ran quite a bit hotter than full synthetic 50:1...My snowblower says run 50:1 but I think that's because they want it to break sooner. So I use 40:1.....

Cool to see someone else using castor. Personally use Klotz super techniplate. NOTHING beats the compression and wrist pin oil retention of castor oil!
@mrcleanisin5 ай бұрын
Got mine up to 45mph on a level road and I weigh 200 lbs. I shaved a little off my head to increase compression.
@trentbikes5 ай бұрын
removing material in your combustion chamber decreases compression. more cc volume.
@mrcleanisin5 ай бұрын
Shaved means to lay the head on a sanding block and rub the bottom of the head. This decreases the head volume and increases compression.

Is mineral oil ok to use in these bikes with unleaded petrol
@trentbikes4 ай бұрын
@@xxlegendarygamer4650 lol definitely not. You need two stroke oil
@xxlegendarygamer46504 ай бұрын
@@trentbikesit says 2 stroke oil on the bottle but it’s mineral, when I ride the bike for the first couple minutes oil comes from the top cylinder head and I don’t know where it’s coming from, could this be due to the oil? I’m on a 16:1 ratio
@xxlegendarygamer46504 ай бұрын
And after a while it starts riding decently and oil stops spluttering little bits out the cylinder head
@trentbikes4 ай бұрын
@xxlegendarygamer4650 why 16:1? You're following these bad manual instructions aren't you? 16:1 is a waste of money and oil. Use like 25:1 at least. I use 32:1 from cradle to grave depending on cylinder
