In Imagineer Bob Weiss' book "Chasing the Dream" he discusses his frustration that while overseeing the dev of Disney-MGM Studios theme park they were "boxed in" by executives to a too-small parcel of land, first because the park was to intentionally be a half-day park (visited on arrival and departure day for resort guests). So, they knew that site was too small from the get-go. But...they also quickly realized they built too much parking, so we're now seeing some of that being used.

I loved Muppetvision at DCA before it was replaced. The Muppets are a cornerstone of American pop culture, and their presence at the parks needs to be celebrated. Hopefully Muppetvision will come to Disney+ as you mention. And just because Rock'n Roller Coaster features the Muppets doesn't mean that we won't hear Queen's music. Happy Birthday, Amanda!

I think Disney really looked at how popular (or not) the Muppets area. Muppet Vision gets very little guests so this was probably the right decision. But I do hope they bring Muppet Vision back to California Adventure!

@ i agree that there are less guests attending the Muppets area, but I think a lot of that is because Disney doesn’t tend to promote them very much, so new generations are not even aware of them, therefore, not asking to visit the Muppets area. Of course, that’s just my opinion!! Would love to see them come back to DCA! 🥰💖

Happy Birthday Amanda! I'm a popcorn girlie too. OMG! I am so sad they are closing Muppetvision 3D and Rock'n, but relieved it's just being re-themed to the best re-theme possible. That's one of my favorite rides. Smart move of Disney to keep Muppets as a major attraction at Studios. I'm going to enjoy these attractions as much as possible on my Thanksgiving weekend trip.
