During my time on the road , I was cussed out by SUPER TRUCKERS. I've been in PEA SOUP FOG, and seen truckers HAUL ASS into the fog. When I ask them to slow down and drive safe they cuss me out. I figured, well one day you are going to HAMMER DOWN into an accident in the FOG. SO many times I tried to help brother truckers just to be told to screw off. So I did, some people you just cant help. GOD BLESS those in the that pile up.

Hwy 99 in Commiefornia also gets freaky foggy, I shut it down at a rest area until morning. I remember way back in the 90s there was a bad accident where a group of Farm Workers died in a passenger van a little bit in South East Sacramento area because of a intersection and fog on country roads.

That Hwy 99 from Sacramento towards Turlock is a mess in the morning. Too foggy and some truck driver flying into fog when I could barely see and doing 30mph. I couldn't even see the exit land to find a safe place.

i was in bad fog on i80 last week and was surprised at how fast the other trucks were going. especially when trailing other trucks. i'm in the right lane doing 30mph (there was also snow and ice), and convoys of three or more trucks were passing on the left doing 50mph with only one truck legnth between them. i passed a few people who had slid out onto the shoulder, but if a single one of them had stopped in the lane, it woulda been bad.

There's so many stupid people driving around and im certain they caused this. I was driving in heavy fog came up on a car parked in the lane no lights. I stopped and said whats going on? the drive said i cant see anything. I said exactly! So how is it possible your parked in this lane waiting to be smashed! At least pull on the shoulder you saw this fog and drove into it and we must be sure someone is coming and this lane must be cleared immediately.

Driving too fast for conditions should be an automatic at fault accident if involved in an accident. At fault accident should be a mandatory suspension of license and revocation of a cdl. Want it back? 1 year and pay for cdl school again.

I don't know if they still exist. There were a yellow tented sunglasses that made night and fog easier to see. Even if you're going slow. Others behind you are not. Maybe in very common fog roads. They need to just close the roads until it's safe for travel. They do for blizzards.

I never buy into that old standby cliche of " due to, (fill in the culprit... usually the weather) excuse for people simply not having a modicum of SA... situational awareness when operating a vehicle. How does one account for all non accident days involving, in this case, fog? Today was not that kind of day. Every one of those vehicles was being operated by an individual who had the power not to become a participant in what could have been another non accident foggy day on the road. Weather excuses, just don't cut it.
