@samsonokoro50366 жыл бұрын
It still isn't worth the price in my opinion, there's so much more luxury and tech in a range rover autobiography than this for similar pricing even though the autobiography is slightly more expensive. I would even take a fully loaded Lexus LX570 for just over 100k to this and it would give better luxury and comfort with equal off road capabilities. This SUV only sells cause of the brand name and it still isn't a best seller at the end of it all.
@johankriek13066 жыл бұрын
The Range Rover's diff-lock in the rear is optional (none for the front) and the Lexus LX has none - it's relying on stupid traction control. The G-Wagon's got front and rear diff-locks (and obviously center) as standard. The 3X 'lockers put the G-Glass in a league of its own!

Yes. Mercedes has sound engineeres. They have a sound room that blocks out all other noise and they put a component in the room (like a sunroof, an electric seat or the whole car). The engineers then sit in a room and listen to noises made by the electric motors, the indicator sound, door lock sound etc and they engineer each part to make a specific sound.

Wait, hold up. "We improved the ground clearance." 30 seconds later, "We actually had to lower the car slightly, and there was no room for that, so we were able to then get higher ground clearance." Somebody please explain what the heck he just said.
@HoosierDaddy_6 жыл бұрын
MultiPurposeReviewer + I think what he was trying to say is they lowered the center of gravity and there was no room for the front solid axle. So they put an ifs on the front which technically gave them more ground clearance. The diff won't be as strong, but it is tucked up higher now being an ifs.
@uaedriver6 жыл бұрын
Air suspension. Driving on-road the car will lower it self, and the opposite for off-road.
@MultiPurposeReviewer6 жыл бұрын
I guess. I don't think he could have explained it any worse though.
@Indianahillclimber6 жыл бұрын
MultiPurposeReviewer like the hummer H1 has more ground clearance than the Ford Raptor yet is lower in height than than the Raptor. It's magic.. not really. I think you can figure it out from here.
@MultiPurposeReviewer6 жыл бұрын
Lower in height and lowering a vehicle are different things. In the case of the Hummer, it means that the distance between floor and roof is less on the Hummer, so the bottom is higher and the top is lower than the Raptor.

Luckily they’re not like Land Rover and design SUVs that can’t be fitted with anything other than street tires because the rims are so big/brakes too big to downsize wheels.

I've been driving solid axle Jeeps for 10 years. Not only am I a big fan of solid front axles, the G Wagon has always been my dream vehicle, but I'm not even bothered by IFS. I think Mercedes did excellent. Unless you're climbing obstacles in Moab, IFS is fine. I have plenty of Toyota friends and their IFS keeps up just fine with everyones Jeeps.

The face of the guy when the marketing person tell him that they replaced the front solid axe to improve of-road capability : “what you just say?” That is the problem this days , people are too much concerned with access and believing. He should ask him how. It could be that it has cross linked air suspension or something similar, but if not ain’t clear that off-road will improve.

"Does a 70's car comply with modern day safety regulations?" Why didn't he ask the Jeep reps if a 40's car complied with modern day safety regulations? Oh, that's right, he's got a gigantic bias toward Jeep which kept showing itself multiple times throughout this video. The Wrangler is a Timex, The G-Class is a rolex. Both do pretty much the same thing but one is comprised of MUCH BETTER build quality, luxury, and components
