Great explanation of what looks like a set that was priced fairly. It still is pricey for fans like me who want it but.... The other iterations look great as well. It's funny when you say "Super Deluxe", it sounds like you're saying "Soup to Nuts" which actually means the same thing! 😂 I just want to thank you for your channel and how professional and enjoyable you make it for all of us Beatles fans! Hi Tone & going by the number of takes on certain tracks off disc 2 I'm kinda glad this is only a fairly inexpensive 2 LP/CD set as if it was released with everything it would have been a 50 CD Mega-Deluxe 🤣🤣🤣 As an album anything after All Things Must Pass was going to be a lesser album & for me it is okay at best but I am looking forward to the new remix & I'll judge again afterwards!! I sat down for lunch at work today, looked at the super deluxe edition of LITMW and it was almost sold out so without hesitation I bought a copy. The postage cost from the USA to Tasmania was $196.00 AUD which is quite expensive, considering I paid $340.00 postage for the ATMP Uber box in 2021. I shouldn't complain really as these things are collectors items and look great in a physical media music collection. However the LITMW extras CD is lacking demos and another CD of outtakes should have been included. Hope you're doing well mate and your videos are always greatly appreciated by me and I'm sure others in the global Beatles community. All the best 👍

They did put the hard back book in the 8LP box for ATMP which I was finally tempted to get when it dipped below £100 on Amazon a year or so ago. Take 18 is wonderful and I have always liked the song Miss O'Dell, as I do not have a turntable and got rid of my vinyl in the 90's I will probably go for the two CD set although I am still tempted by the deluxe set for completion and the book, I will mull it over. Hope the eye gets better soon you could have ways done a Dylan and wore dark glasses, with a fedora you could set a whole new image. Many thanks for this video Tone. That eye looks sore, I did the self same thing some years back when I got conjunctivitus and made it even worse, so you have my sympathy there mate. I have been looking online at the options and I think I'm going to go for the 2 LP and 2 CD versions. I have so much stuff on order right now, including the Mind Games book which is due in a week, and I've also pre ordered the new Matt Berry album which is due in the new year and also comes in several iterations. If you've not heard any of his stuff I'd recommend you give his album Witchazel a listen as a certain bass player from a very famous Merseyside combo guests on one of the tracks.. My bonus and back pay back dated from april is due next week, so I'll be putting my order in for those iterations of George's classic album then. I seem to recall this album having several remixes over the years, esp the one from 2006 which came with a DVD . I think I still have that CD set somewhere in this Tardis of a music room/ Study/Office. And in closing all I can say is this has certainly been a bumper year for us Beatles fans. Is it really seven months since we got the Band On The Run Underdubbed album? We really have been spoiled by the Fabs this year.. Roll on Dec '25 and Rubber Soul....

Yes it's been a bumper year and we have been spoilt . 2LP and 2 Cd sounds like a sensible choice if you're running out of space in your music room and I am also struggling a bit for space. I cant remember off the 2006 version was a remix or a remaster but Paul Hicks has done such great work, I doubt we will be disappointed. One other factor to be considered with the Czech Republic pressings is that you topographically are much closer than i. I'm in Colorado usa. So I'm sure that that is a factor to the certain extent in a more significant way than with you. So no matter who presses it for 30 USD, analog and blue vinyl. Winner winner.

Hi Beatley Tone. I'll be getting the 2 CD version and purchase the MP3 of Sunshine Life For Me (Sail Away Raymond). I already have an original LP. I don't really collect vinyl and don't have the equipment to play the Blu-ray content to take advantage of the surround sound.

Excellent presentation. I love ATMP but I never really got into LITMW. The production is muddy and too bassy and it contains too many religiously themed songs for my taste. But I will probably buy this set as I'm curious listening to the remix and the outtakes. P.S. When will we get Early Takes vol. 2?

Thanks very much, Im glad you enjoyed the video. The remix should sort out the sound issues although it wont help the religious stuff :-) Different strategy now so I doubt there will ever be an Early Takes Vol 2, they'll just stick the outtakes and demos on each of the album box sets

Hi Tone, I think that I will have to go for the Super Deluxe Box for this release. It will be very nice to have George’s version of Its A Sunshine Life For Me on 7 inch. Even though it’s not a particular favourite George song of mine, it holds a place in my heart as he wrote it about half a kilometre away from where I live in County Kildare in Ireland. Apparently he was visiting Donovan who lived here back in the early Seventies.

Nice overview T. I'm wondering if the somewhat disappointing Beatles '24 offering is due to prioritising the solo anniversary individual albums? Even fanatics have to eat😂😂. I'll probably settle on the single cd. I have a funny feeling that the up and coming Beatles US releases may not be the big seller Apple think they will. So they may well end up at tempting prices later in 2025 (when they finally release the Rubber Soul box). We shall see! Take care mate.

I've ordered the super deluxe box version but compared to 'ATMP', the unreleased stuff makes for a rather meagre offering. That had 47 outtakes, etc and this has just 13.

ATMP was a different beast- double album plus loads of other songs that had been building up that didnt make the album so plenty of outtakes and demos to choose from. LITMW had to borrow a song from 1971 to make the numbers up so I doubt there was any unreleased songs in the can juts out takes from the sessions so hopefully they have given the best of these here. The could have given us more out takes but do we prefer quality over quantity with quantity costing more. Its a tough call, I think they got it about right for this release

I'm in for the Super Deluxe Box Set. I'm not the biggest fan of this album - it's middle of the pack for George in my book, but I'm happy to support this in hopes of further George deluxe sets. Price wise it does seem like it might be a better value proposition than All Things Must Pass (at least it's proper size with a hardback book, even if there's not as much musical content). Now if we could just get a Ringo Super Deluxe, and the London Town and Back to the Egg Archive Editions....

Hi Tone, I just pre-ordered the super deluxe set on Amazon, even though I'm not that interested in the Vinyl or Blu-ray, I just love to have the big box set with all the packaging and hardback book. Can't believe its only limited to 5000 copies world-wide. I wish they would have done the same packaging for the super deluxe set of All Things Must Pass, instead of the miniature box set with the booklet. As far as this set goes I wish they would have given 2 CD's of outtakes and demo's, I'm sure they enough material, when one song has 93 takes. I bet I could listen to at least 90 of them without getting bored😁 But seriously I'm really looking forward to getting this. My 2nd favorite George album. BTW: Did you have chance to look at my response to your comment regarding the Beatles Capitol albums? I finally caved in and got the old CD sets with the Dexter mixes.

Hi Bob, It does seem strange to limit the box set to only 5000 - maybe they are testing the water to see what the uptake is with a view to pressing more. I did wonder why only one disc of out takes too. The track with 93 takes Who can See it, is literally my least favourite on the album so there's no way im listening to 90 versions of that going wrong 😂 They really missed the mark with the CD box set for ATMP which is what I bought first (and is actually the subject of my very first you tube video - Im like a rabbit in the headlights) - the flimsy book was really poor. I ended up buying the the 8 Lp version mostly to get the book -about a year after the event it dropped below £100 on Amazon and I pounced. Yeah saw your US albums message - sorry for the delay, Ive been struggling to keep on top of comment responding . It's normally ok but new releases always generate a lot of comments especially the US albums one

Hi Tone no problem if you can’t respond, you are still recovering so don’t over do it. You are pretty amazing that you respond to everyone. A lot of KZbin channels don’t do that, which to be honest puts me off leaving comments as I don’t see the point. BTW did you have any problems importing the files I sent you into iTunes. Yes it's a very good album Andrew I agree. I did a ranking of George's albums on the channel but cant remember when I placed it but I dont think its as good as Thirty three and a Third or George Harrison but more than decent nonetheless

ATMP 2) followed very closely by LIAMW 3) George Harrison 4) 33 & 1/3 5) Brainwashed Pushing the top 5 would be Cloud 9 and Concert for Bangladesh, I recently bought this on Vinyl and I was surprised how good the quality of the live recording was considering it was 1971/2 . @@bilguana11 Its included on the Deluxe box set according to Georgeharrison.com. It literally says under LP2/CD2 alongside the song title 'CD Only' (because it's not on LP 2 but the 7"single). Deep Blue was on the 2006 LITMW as an extra track but I think it's right to be left off this box because it's really nothing to do with the LITMW album. It was the B-side of Bangla Desh single so 2 years old by the time this album came out

Hi Tone ! All your videos are great, thanks. A long response this time. Intro : I have all Deluxe sets, 5 Beatles & 17 solo (I am not the only one). Comments : 1. Price. Too much. Gone from 60 € (Band, Sgt...) to 140 € (Mind, OK for 6+2 discs, Revolver, too much for its 34 or 40 less min CDs & ridiculous EP...). Ukraine war ? Inflation ? Oil, Iron or paper shortage ? Greed ? 2. Size. Beatles, erratic. Solo, consistent. I don't get it... 3. Audio. from minimum ( Venus, Speed...) to shockingly hollow (Let it be, where are "No Pakistanis", "White Power Promenade", "Domino" ?), some better (Flaming, White with no complete "Helter" though, All Things...) 4. Supplements. OK. some classy, some preposterous. Very arguable. I come to my point : for me, CD is the norm (better quality, no noise) & LP can be bought separately. Here LP is the norm & pushes the price up (you find it reasonable, but to me an average LP price, twice a CD, is really UNreasonable). I already own all Beatles & solo LPs in some vinyl form (I am not the only one). These GH LPs don't speak to me. Not to mention storage volume. Conclusion : I'll buy the cheap 2 CD & reduced booklet & go happy with it. Unhappy with the lack of this short & expensive hardbook / set... Too bad for me.

Paul McCartney has overall the best quality control for his releases someone had said that the French company will be making the mono Beatles box set and associated single LPS hope that's true. That place from the check Republic has really iffy quality control issues. Last thing I want is to have to buy something and after return it not that said, the only one I'm buying is the target USA limited edition blue vinyl lp. Mostly because it's analog to analog it's seldom released that way. You know, 99% of everything is all digital because it's easier and cheaper.

The hype sticker on the blue vinyl says it was pressed in France. having said that I have had loads of records pressed in the Czech Republic (GZ) and every one has arrived in perfect condition . Some apple have been unlucky but when you consider the number pressed, it's probably a fraction of 1%

i love the beatles together and solo, but have to disagree that this is one of georges best cds. To me give me love, title track, and maybe sue me blues are best songs, and the rest dont impress me.I would put all things must pass, thirty three third, cloud nine, gh cd, above this. But glad they are doing this remaster for everyone that loves george!

I agree. Ive done a George Harrison album ranking video on the channel which concurs with the albums you mention. I also prefer Dark horse to this one
