Yes much appreciated - it's such a beautiful book. I'm really enjoying the remaster and the studio outtakes, everything is breathing so much more spaciously! Amazing how many takes they did of most of these songs, even for Miss O'Dell, which gives the impression of being a 5 take carefree throwaway.

I must admit, that's how I always feel about outtakes apart from those on Anthology. It's rare that we ever get anything as an out take that is better than what is released on the final version. I rarely go back to out takes, that's why im not a big fan of bootlegs or official fan club albums as you call them :-)

Hi Beatley Tone, great video as always. Love the remix. Sadly Sail Away Raymond is not on the 2CD version. I just wish that they we wouldn't take so long between releases. None of us are getting any younger. I've used Amazon on a regular basis over the years, but I too have suffered delays. The final straw came a few weeks ago when I received a delivery notice saying something along the lines that my CD had been posted through our letterbox. Er, no it hadn't! No more Amazon. Ended up ordering Living In The Material World via Townsend Music. I must say that I am equally dissapointed with my local HMV. I used to call it my church where I'd regularly hand money over. I went there last year to pick up the remixed Red and Blues CD's only to be told they hadn't received delivery. Speechless. Needless to say they are off my list too. Jus call me Mr. Grumpy. 😂

Amazon is hit and miss these days- I've seen some people got theirs on release day but most didnt. I dont care too much if its not a Beatles related album but when it , I want it on release day if Ive pre-ordered. HMV stores dont seem to carry very many copies of any album, relying mostly on their website for the majority of their orders. Anyway, I hope the stuff that you ordered comes soon and you enjoy it

Hi Tone. Thank you for the unboxing. I have ordered this but personal circumstances meant that I had to find a way to delay delivery until 21st November. It did take a little discussion to achieve this through Amazon but they came up trumps in the end, so I will be getting this a little later than many! Probably a bit unique moaning about it arriving on release date and delaying things, but there you go! Looks like a very nice package and it is good to see the recording notes present and correct which I think was only in the crate version of All Things Must Pass. People obviously listened to comments and feedback.

Hi Tone I used What Records to order this for £114.99 plus postage and it arrived at 10.20 this morning. Will certainly use them for future Beatles releases. I have played both vinyl records and really enjoyed it. Also the 7 inch was good too. I particularly enjoyed the outtakes disc, very stripped back. The photos in the book are terrific, really glossy. All in all good value I think. The only slight negative point is that I wish the CDs had individual cases to protect them if you play them in the car. I would LOVE to hear these early versions of songs from "Dark Horse" and "33 1/2." I am hopeful that their exclusion here portends Paul Hicks remixes and deluxe treatments for those albums, and his entire solo catalog eventually. I am an outlier in that I LOVE "Dark Horse" and "Extra Texture." They are without a doubt very different George albums, but I have a tendency for fondness towards the Dark Horses (ha ha) in artists' catalogs, like Neil Young's "Trans," and Led Zeppelin's "In Through The Out Door." I bet "My Love [is like a]" is "Maya Love." And now I am dead curious to know / hear what "All Over Love," "Boxed Up In A Corner," and "Moonlight (Flight?)" are!!! Never heard of those titles before and they do not suggest themselves as early versions of anything I can remember hearing from our man George.

I cant remember where I ranked this when I did a George's album video but there are certainly George albums that I prefer. I assume that Deep Blue isnt here because it wasnt part of the LITMW sessions - it was 2 years old by the time this album was made but it's an odd one because as the Bangla Desh single and it's B side where standalone, they dont really have a natural home on any album

Tony, great vid mate! I also, (and I suspect many of us) was screwed by Harrison's website on this shipping business. I guess shelling out hundreds of dollars for unnecessary items, wasn't nearly enough to ensure that our items were shipped in a timely manner. And don't get me wrong, Universal and Paul's website pull the same B.S.. Pre-ordering these items should give us the right to receive them on day of release, instead of, as in some cases (like with Now and Then) a week after the fact. I don't blame the artists, but we know they read these comments and while BMG, Universal, et al are multi-billion dollar businesses, these artists must have some sway and need to make it clear that we mere pawns are getting tired of their b.s. I apologize for being harsh, but these past 10 days or so have been devastating to me (and others) and I was really looking forward to having something new and awesome to distract me, alas not to be this weekend. Hi Tone, great unboxing video. You are correct unboxiing seems to have been created on here. I just rip things open 😂 I love the mix of vinyl, DVD, CD, book and collectable items. Dhani has done a fantastic job, I hope he gets a Grammy nod for this. This is how all deluxe box sets should be, I hope Dhani keeps this going for all of George's albums. Yep it's just opening things and it weird I get move nervous about doing unboxing videos (which should be easy) because you only get one crack at it - once it's open , its open and you cant go back 😎. Dhani has definitely done a great job with this and as I said in the video, I wish all box sets could have everything in one box . I still think the lennon boxes are best as far as music content goes but this is really great and the remix is superb and I also hope we now get all the rest of Geroge's albums done like this but without the 3 year gap between each one. The whole "Jim Keltner Fan Club" thing is the mocking of an almost identical message (Excluding the undressed stamped elephant, of course) for Wings Fun Club put on Red Rose Speedway, exactly, as on Living In The Material World, on the bottom end of the rear cover. As you can see, Jim Keltner's name is written between two Wings, in the style of Paul's band. Another amicable and lighthearted dig at Paul after his old Liverpool telephone number publicly dictated by George at the end of Miss O'Dell

I agree with you, I’m not sure why they can’t ship these items allowing for the lead time they know is required for them to reach their destination on time? I am a wombat. I ordered the super deluxe thinking it was just CDs and also ordered the Purple vinyl to have it on vinyl. I didn't realize you get a black vinyl in the super deluxe. Duh!!! Not sure when I am gonna get any of it tho as I ordered it from the official store here in the US and they never deliver on release day which is really annoying. I know I am wrong but I always thought Let It Be was the only think recorded there, but I guess all the non-beatle apple releases were too? Any other solo beatles albums recorded there? I've never seen anything that clearly lays out the apple studios discography - maybe a future video?

@@nicksyrett Hi Nick yes it was partly recorded at Apple Studios and partly at George's home studio at Friar Park. Some of Ringo's 1973 album was recorded there, notably Six O clock the song written by Paul featuring Paul Linda and Ringo. Bits of All Things Must Pass were recorded there and also a Badfinger album Head First. A few albums but other non-Apple artists also recorded there.

Spot on re Amazon. They’re notorious these days for not delivering on release day… same for 4K HD Steelbooks etc. too. I never got my Band on the Run or One Hand Clapping despite pre-ordering from them when announced. Should be getting George CDs today from them but it’ll probably be next week, if at all. Album boxset looks good but I weakened and ordered Beatles 64 albums boxset instead. I know I said I wasn’t going to as have them on CD but I was sucked in by the hype. Hi Tone, I love this this whole package but strangely I found something frustrating that does not appear in in your video or indeed in other unboxing videos elsewhere. The orange paper tracklisting on the back of the box falls away once the cling film is removed in yours and other unboxing videos but for me it was attached by two blobs of silicone adhesive. I calculated that this method would be designed to enable safe removal but when I attempted to do so, one of them refused to give and instead pulled the surface of the box upwards nearly tearing the design off. I now have a raised dome on the back of the box. A frustrating start to my personal unboxing so if anyone find the tracklisting attached to the box, be careful!

Good advice Steve, thanks for sharing it with everyone. Sorry you had this problem. Sometimes the silicone dries out if it's been a while since they stuck it on. The Paul McCartney Archive boxes always come with the silicone and sheet on the back. The secret is to ease it off very slowly if it's still sticky. Sorry this has left you frustrated but I hope it doesnt spoil your enjoyment of the box

Hi there Tone and thank you so much for this vid and a very happy Unboxing day! I haven't ordered the Box set, just the 2 CD set and the 2 LP set. My Cd's arrived earlier while I was at work, but I did have a very nice and apologetic email about my 2 LP set. The site I've ordered it from have had a delay in delivery from Universal, so it looks like I won't be getting it until later next week, but when it arrives I will be getting it mailed out via registered 24 hr mail , so all is good on that front. The Box set looks beautiful, the George Harrison estate really have surpassed themselves with this release, maybe this is the way forward for all future box sets. I for one would be in favour of a box containing both vinyl and CD's, as I collect both, and always buy both iterations of an album where I can. One question. The single included with the box set, is this available to stream or download at all? Because on my 2 CD set it's not on there. On another note though box set related, are you aware that the Super Deluxe Mind Games Cube is nominated for a Grammy for the new Box set Grammy award? There's even a Grammy for Box sets now, well here's hoping that this new box from George get's a nomination next year....Any how Tone you have a great weekend, enjoy the box set and keep on getting well my friend. I agree it's a brilliantly put together box and now they have a good format that is not overly expensive that they now whip through the albums and get these boxes out to us. Sunshine Life for me is on my streaming service (Qobuz) but the instrumental version is not. Yes I saw about the grammy nomination which is great. I think the ATMP Uber Deluxe box set won one in 2022. I dont really want to encourage these massively expensive box sets but I hope both the cube and Now and then win in February. @@beatleytonesbeatleschannel Just need to let you know that on Friday I also received my copy of the 2 CD set of John Lennon and Various Artists: Radio Waves, which is basically John's one To One shows in New York which contains the performances of Sha Na Na, Roberta Flack and Stevie Wonder. The performances of them all is superb, but it's the sound quality that has blown me away, well balanced, well mixed and so clear. Which begs the question, that if a small record company can do this, then maybe, just maybe the Lennon Estate could look at remixing/ remastering the Live in New York City album, with the added inclusion of Yoko's performances, as on this release they sound superb. Disc two comprises the tapes of John and Yoko's legendary hosting of the Mike Douglas show back in '72 including performances of Imagine, Woman is... Luck Of The Irish, Give Peace A Chance, and John's duets with Chuck Berry, all sounding amazing. As a bootleg/unofficial release this is well worth getting hold of, and opens up the possibilities of what we could get officially in the future.

It's one of those few albums that I've got a vinyl, i cassette, and CD of so if you're all out there looking for more ideas. There is inner sleeves and and outer jacket for the records in the box , I show them in the video but the outer sleeves are not gatefolds like the standalone album. ATMP was similar the box itself is the sleeve I suppose. Some box sets that come with slip cases have the proper album sleeves inside but usually boxes that shut (like this one) that have the contents inside dont

Oh I haven't tried that yet David. With the All Thing Must pass box I just left the LPs in the poly lined sleeves in the box rather than putting them in the spare inners that came with it. It occurred to me that as both the sleeves provided with LITMW are identical , you would have to take the whole inner out of the sleeve before playing as you wouldnt be able to tell which Lp was which . So im probably going to leave the LPs just in the poly lined sleeves in the box

Hi Tone, I took the vinyl out of the paper sleeves and placed them in poly inner sleeves (non-paper), which pretty much fit the LITMW sleeves and therefore fit perfectly back into the box. I keep the empty paper sleeves ln the very bottom of the box and all fits in. The remixed album goes in the sleeve with George's hand with the icon resting on it, and the outtakes album goes in the one with his hand with nothing on it.

unfortunately, they skipped “Deep Blue” that was actually my favorite bonus track on earlier edition of LIMW. I guess they were going to put that on “Concert For Bangladesh” remaster reissue??

It's a bit of weird one Derek because Deep Blue hasnt really got a natural home as the B side of Bangla Desh. I guess it's left of this box as it wasnt part of the LITMW sessions. Doesnt really belong on CFBD either as its not a live track

The song doesn’t have a home.. that’s sad. Maybe they need another more in depth compilation album. or maybe an album full of songs that has nowhere to go like for example those 4 songs left off “Somewhere In England”, “Flying Hour”, “Lay His Head” (which made it as a bside to “Got My Mind Set On You”), “Sat Singing” and “ Tears Of The World” (which for some reason was added as a bonus track to “33&1/3rd” CD….
