i think one of the reason is because Jojo have effectively been blacklisted from LCS due to C9 fiasco. I would be surprised if any NA LCS teams would take in Jojo, considering the team owners like Jack and Steve are super close to each other and always make unofficial promises with each other.

If the entirety of West wants to have success, this is what needs to happen. The talent is in the EU, and should be concentrated there by importing the few exceptions from NA. EU has lost so fucking much over the past decade with constant poachings that has set the scene back constantly over and over. This is FINALLY a single good thing that actually is a positive for the region and its skill level. I respect Jojopyun for taking this step, because this most likely means that he wants to win. Which is the key to a good player. He could get more money in NA, but that won't ever get him international success.

Won't make much difference. Fresskowy is not contributing much to the MESA combo MDK is trying to replicate. Myrwyn is very reliable at creating his own wins in lane through cheese picks or just having a good read in the meta. Elyoya is pretty much a great jungler to have. Not great at some metas but still very good. Supa is showing promising talent. Alvaro is still the best player on this roster even though he had a tough worlds performance. Better to have Jojo rather than keeping Fresskowy which wouldn't do any favors to MDK in the international stage.
