I lived in Harris County in 2022 and attempted to vote. Afterward, I was told my vote was rejected. After much discussion and challenging what I believed to be erroneous decision-making by a poll worker ( I was registered and had the evidence with me), I was finally allowed to vote. This process took several days and >8 messages. Eventually, the poll worker was overruled. I was not impressed. I also witnessed a poll worker being so rude to a couple in front of me that they decided to leave their (I assume) assigned polling location saying they would try to find another. I told the poll worker I did not like his behavior and he got rude with me to the point where I feared security was going to get involved. That´s the last thing you want in Texas. I made an official complaint against him. No feedback or follow-up. As far as I am concerned nothing was done. Not impressed.

I hope the citizens of Harris Co., TX will mobilize and regulate themselves. Organize voting carpools. Educate your families and neighbors on who your candidates are. Post about upcoming elections in your local businesses, schools, and libraries. Not just on social media. The government is counting on citizens being mindless drones. This has to stop.

I live in Houston, and I’m glad you’re covering this issue because I think it’s important for people to know what the state is trying to do electorally in HTX/Harris Co, but I’d love to see more media coverage on the state takeover of Texas’ largest school district. All of this came about at the same time. The state removed the HISD superintendent and appointed someone without stakeholder input. The school board was also undemocratically appointed. It’s a pretty big deal. Please look into it and report on it if you can.

Harris County is Houston. Houston is the most diverse city in the US & the Republicans in Austin want to control the election outcome. As a Native Houstonian, I find the Republican shenanigans to disenfranchise the voters in Houston reprehensible. AG Paxton gleefully admitted recently, that he disenfranchised 2.5 million Harris County voters ballots to ensure that Democrat candidates would lose. Those 2.5 million disenfranchised voters could have easily thrown folks like Abbott, Patrick & Paxton out of office. My last act as a Texan was casting my ballot in the 2016 election. I don’t miss standing in long lines in the stifling heat & humidity to cast my ballot. Thankfully, I now live in a state were the state mails your ballot to you & I can fill it out from the comfort of my couch & drop it in ballot box should I chose to do so or I can go to the closest polling place to cast my ballot.

Texas used to be so blue. Texans voted more or less 2 dozen blue governors that red. It became red when Bush became governor till today. So hopefully Texans will turn Texas back to blue. 🙏💙🙏

Gerrymandering, underhanded tactics ( like moving voting stations day of election) and voter suppression are just a few corrupt tactics the Texas Repub's use to interfere in free and fair elections in the state. Here in Ohio they closed down voting places and so you would have to wait 3 or in some cases many more hrs Well some people were bringing voters bottles of water and even food So they started passing laws that you couldn't give a person food or water or hold their place if they stepped out of line to use the bathroom It's just getting ridiculous how some of these red states are making it harder for voters in more Democratic areas to vote!!

The way it SHOULD work is they should be bipartisan based on LAW. But before they were judges they were voters & most likely claimed a party. And many are chosen (Federal anyway) by Dem or Repub Presidents & Congress so party does fit in. A GOOD judge will follow law & not party or politics.

This is a State Constitutional violation why would the party affiliation of judges matter? It's a state law. Judges are supposed to uphold the law. Texas needs a new set of government officials.
