I don't believe that there's a shortage of silver. Every dealer I hear from has a glut of silver. There may be issues meeting the industrial demand, but bullion demand is being met currently. It would take an increase in retail buyers or at least an increase in the volume of retail purchases to make a change in availability

I feel like this varies state to state. For context, in Houston area where I try to buy when I’m in that area, I have to call ahead. They have not had junk silver in over a year. And they may not have any rounds available fairly regularly. When they get a shipment in, people are there same day to buy. So just wanted to share to give people some context in case that is helpful 😊

dealers have a glut of silver. industrial is having their demands met (for now). buy/sell/ or hold is your choice, but please understand the retail side has plenty of silver. (that has the biggest effect on premiums). but these channels have been saying the same thing for months/years about silver is ready to break out etc, etc. just know that overall there is a 100 million plus ounce shortage on silver, but this is on the industrial side. and local bullion dealers are sending a ton of retail silver to the refiners. also know that for now paper and metal silver is not entirely in sync. one thing that can be said with certainty is premiums are very low right now. this is likely the biggest reason to buy if you are so inclined. in summary, silver price is messy. long term is the only way buy physical silver.

First of all China buys silver and gold because there is nothing else to buy with dollars. China exports much more than imports, so they started not sending the rest to reserves but buying metals as soon as USA sells.

We don't have much left in America. We don't build much of anything here. No steel mills , or manufacture much of anything at all. All we do is buy junk that our government let's them send. All of our ammunition plants are now owned by some rich tech kid from the ck. Republic. So all we really have is the p.m. In my eyes.
