What a sick bunch of adults. These parties are for the mothers to out do one another. I loved the expression of the slightly older woman looking horrified or ill hearing about plans for a party. The ridiculous part is most children do not remember all of this,

At least the kids looked appreciative and like they were having a good time because no matter how much money you shell out that's never a guarantee I hope they're good fortune doesn't change and they don't blow their kids college funds and in the meantime, Jimbo the party coordinator is cashing out and laughing all the way to the bank !

The kids having fun is what is important; parents trying to outdo each other - the complete opposite. I don't have children, but I do have a dog who gets spoiled rotten: extra food, extra walks, extra pets - all it takes is the right look/whine at the right time and I can't say no.... Her excited & happy demeanor when I agree, is just 🤗🥰 Edit: even her huffs and groans when I say "no" are adorable and hilarious too 😅.... Ok, I'm out before I leave a short book about my princess lol

Im american and i remember seeing some British talk show hosts harping on a guest bc she chose to celebrate her kids' birthdays on the weekend instead of the actual day if it fell on a work/school day. The audience was appalled and gasping. I realized then that birthdays must be weirdly hyper serious there. My god

Wow .... just wow (and not in a positive way). Those parties are obviously for the parents, not for the kids. And those special entrances just made me cringe massively. It's also painful to listen to those parents talking about they do it because they love their children so much - so they think the amount you spend is an indication of how much you love your child? And spending money on them is their (only?) way of showing their love? Poor spoiled children. Worst of all is Anton's mum. The relationship she has with her son is very worrying. I liked the guy who did their party, though. He was the only one of all those entertainers and partyplanners who openly said how bloody ridiculous this is. I loved it when he laughed about the stupidity of spendig such an amount for such a lavish party .... and this for only 14 children.

The bar mitzvah people are freaking nuts I don't understand it I don't get the military like planning for this maybe it's just I don't understand Judaism but it doesn't make sense to me all I know in America we don't see people throwing parties like that for their kids you don't see Jewish families renting out entire facilities I think the combination of the ego of the family and the father is basically the dad trying to flex on everybody
@Sentient_Goose
@Sentient_Goose Жыл бұрын
Bar mitzvahs are a lot of fun! You should try it sometime. It's definitely a cultural thing. They take years of preparation and tons of cash, but it's a wonderful tradition. It's not just a birthday party, it's a milestone for a family and a community.
