Yeah that’s in my top 3. I don’t listen to many of these bands anymore but BB I always go back too. The first song I heard that got me hooked about 20 years ago was “Water”, absolute banger! They managed to write such good and consistent music for 15+ years. Insane. “I will not bow”, was and is still a banger. Probably my 2nd fav after Water. That whole album was 🔥

Good song, but honestly “Home”, “Diary of Jane” and “Natural Life” are my favourites. “Saturate” was easily their best album. So groovy and unique. They got really predictable after that which isn’t necessarily bad, because they make great tracks. But it feels like they were a bit more fun and energetic on “Saturate” that has been lost over the years.

These guys are hometown heroes for me. I used to watch them play in small clubs and garages through North East PA, specifically Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. I remember calling into 97.9x Rocks, the local Rock Station on the radio located in Hazelton, PA, over 500 times myself in the course of three months asking to hear their song polyamorous. Finally, the radio station got a copy, played it live, and the rest is history. A few years later their single "Blow Me Away" was the featured track on the Halo 2 soundtrack and they were a hit internationally. It's crazy to think that almost 20 years ago, I used to go on a Friday night and hear them play their music. Some stuff I'd hear those nights wouldn't make it to album for a decade or more. If you thought that this version was good, listen to the acoustic version. Also, "Rain" is one of their core fandom favorites. The pure, raw emotion in Ben's voice is paralysing.

@@thomasromich9953 Plan 9 I think. But I don't believe that they recorded anything under that name. Breaking Benjamin was the only name that they used on album/demo. Aaron and Mark were in a band called Lifer I think. This was like 23 years ago now, hard to remember. lol

One time I stayed with my cousins for a month in McAdoo, which is a small town by Hazelton. I’ve also been to Hazleton several times when I was staying in McAdoo. This was in 1980. In 1998, I flew in to Wilkes-Barre to attend my step dad’s funeral. His family wanted him to be buried close to them. It’s funny how 3 bands that I really like came out of that area. Breaking Benjamin, Halestorm, and Live. Btw, I was born in Los Angeles and raised in Burbank, CA. Nowhere near Pennsylvania, but my stepdad came over to California from Pennsylvania after he was in the army.

“Your so cold but you feel so alive” gives me goosebumps. I feel like telling someone their so cold, usually is I’m reference to their attitude, so it kinda feels like a rug pull when u realize he contrast that with being actually cold, like a dead body.

This generation of rock music phased out fairly quickly with me but BB is just one of those bands that hits, every time. From their start to now; completely killed it. I still go back and crank them. Chevelle was also another one you should checkout. Not many groups in this genre from that decade stood out like this band. Some but not many at all.

They've been pretty much the only band I've consistently listened to for the last 18 years. Almost every song on every album is a killer. Been listening to BB since their first album Saturate back in 2000-01. All their music is great. Check out the Aurora album. They reimangined many of their best songs with guest singers such as Lacey Sturm (Flyleaf), Adam Gontier (3 Days Grace) and Scooter Ward (COLD). They also did a cover of Goo Goo Doll's song Iris (City of Angels movie soundtrack) with Diamante.
