Breathlessness treatment and how to reduce it in sports.

Almost every time I do short intense and continuous exercise (~5minutes), my vision goes gradually blurry until I can't see and then I feel like fainting. If I sit for 20 seconds my vision comes back and at 1:30 minute i can stand again.

Same, my basketball coach makes us do loads of layups in a minute and afterwards and during, my vision is blurry and I even feel dizzy. Drinking water doesn’t help but sitting down does 🤷🏽‍♀️

You are dehydrated brother i've been there. Before workout drink adequate amount of water and also stay hydrated at all times. Drink 3liters per day. After every meal during every meal before sleeping after waking up. Keep drinking small amounts at auch intervals.

Your just low on Iron I used to have that all the time and I run track, it’s just iron deficiency, go ask your doctor to get a blood test and if come back that you have low hemoglobin levels (Iron) it means you just need either pops Iron pills or eat more red meat

Same, i almost fainted today while doing my basketball drills and it took some time for me to get back on feet. Like i became so tired and felt like throwing up and felt fainting.

I thought I had a lung problem I probably have not gone out of my house for about 5-8 weeks and no I don’t eat junk food neither I am fat today I ran fast and now I am breathing so hastily I was scared I have a lung problem and I don’t know what tomdo

It seems like you just have to endure it a couple of more times until you get used to it again. I almost died the other day thinking I can still crush a short 7-8 min workout lol basically we wasted all the stamina we built up all our life by just sitting around for a couple of months

run more, get your body used to functioning with breathlessness and soon it will be harder and harder to lose your breath

I have been in this situation. I gasp when i climb stairs and walk a bit fast. One of the best stuff you can do is to join Jiu Jitsu classes..

Im in my mid fifties and still play softball. I am still pretty fast getting around them bases, but my breathing is so heavy now.. It started last year. It feels like I have asthma..

Do bad sleep habit causes this?, Or bad diet? Because my mucle is strong but my cardiovascularity is not.

Hi, poor diet can impact breathing. Breathing training is the most efficient and fastest way to improve breathlessness. For most athletes, breathing training is a 4 to 8-week process, although progress is usually seen in the first week or two. Breathing training involves a number of breathing exercises, which can be easily integrated into daily life and a training schedule. Once we understand and accept that breathlessness is a function of too much carbon dioxide and not too little oxygen, the athlete can make the breakthrough, improving breathlessness.

You have to train the body to open with higher levels of CO2 - that’s how. Listen with a different perspective than yours

Why the hell does no doctor mention dyspnea due to esophagitis???? When the pH of the esophagus drops, that is, when there is inflammation, the mucosa becomes irritated and causes shortness of breath. most common symptoms constant involuntary sighs not being able to fill your lungs Aerophagia also causes shortness of breath. Any condition that causes inflammation and pressure on the diaphragm can cause constant involuntary sighing as symptoms. As a doctor you should mention these causes of dyspnea
