Once More Unto The Breech... Another insightful, informative perspective on the subject. I don't think anyone else is creating this kind of in-the-weeds KZbin content on the subject. Very enjoyable.

The only Glock pistols I like are the Glock 17 Gen 4 and the Full Auto unbranded Glock 18c made by Barra. This was a great video showing how a true blowback air pistol works compared to others that work through the trigger that hits a valve to release CO2 and fire the BB - A true blowback air pistol is supposed to strip a new BB from the magazine into the barrel each time the slide goes back.. similar to how a real firearm works.. and most of the blowback air pistols in my collection are of the true blowback type like the Glock Gen 4.

Thanks for that feedback. I was paranoid that I’d either made a hash of describing things or I was giving out poor information. If either proves to be the case I’ll happily take it down and remake it. Many thanks once again mate. All the best!

Excellent video, well explained without getting bogged down by every little detail. The mechanical action that you described for both Glocks was on point buddy and very easy to understand. My own opinion is that a replica should not just look like the RS counterpart but should also replicate the action of the RS (as far as is possible) too, the Glock 17 gen 4 goes a long way into doing that, what with the look, the action, the full size drop free magazine, lock back on last shot and the ability to foeld strip it like the RS version is impressive. There's far too many 'look-a-like' guns on the market, these are basically only good for photographs, but in truth 'replica realism' goes far beyond owning a lookalike. If you look at guys in the US who want to safely (and cheaply) practice drawing from holster, reloading drills and quick fire double taps, they need a replica that 'replicates' their own RS gun as much as possible (size, weight, action, magazines, etc.). Even guys like us (here in the UK) would like to have guns that are true replicas rather than just have moulded in controls, non blow back, stick mag bags of shite ! Obviously we are all different but I can't help but feel that anyone who accepts anything less is more into 'airguns' than really being into 'replica airguns'.

Thanks for the confirmation mate. I think it’s a really subjective area in terms of what people are happy with. There are loads of great air guns that aren’t trying to appear like the real thing so maybe for some people, the looks are a bit of a novelty. That said, the best replica isn’t the most accomplished airgun and vice versa in many cases. I see why you like revolvers though, because they are often a great combination of both worlds. All the best!

A pretty good take on the mechanical aspect of the 19X imo..👍🏻 I've got the HK VP9 and the ISSC M22 which both works the same way. And I must say I adore them both - especially the VP9. But, yes.. The triggerpull's first stage pushes forward the sled, which pushes the BB into the breech. Then, when firing, an internal hammer hits the firing pin, which moves within the blowback seal and hits the valve stem's rear end, which is seen in the rear of the magazine top. After a taken shot the slide moves and then cocks the internal hammer. And thus the blowback also do serve an actual purpose. Oh man.. I love the mechanics on these! Been wanting the ASG US-C 1911 also, which got rid of that ridiculously long triggerpull.. But I still haven't gotten myself to order one..

You explained it perfectly. And yes, the trigger on the 19x does reset since reciprocating the slide cocks the hammer. You heard that right, it's a hammer that Umarex is hiding inside the slide, so the betrayal continues even further. :) The blank guns they're building that resemble striker-fired pistols are as well equipped with a hidden hammer. Just as a side note, but that is so recklessly dangerous imho, when someone who does not know better carries those things in their appendix cocked with no manual safety and no internal safety mechanism either.

Fair point. I'd hope there would be something about its operation in the instructions but even so, a lot of people don't tend to read those when they're excited about their new gun unfortunately.

@@airgunreplicas77 That is actually a gap in the market. To my knowledge there is no one doing reviews on these guns going through such details. At least not on KZbin. Yet. :)
