Always enjoy these lists. I'll see what I can come up with but I'm consciously not putting them in any kind of order. The toughest part is only doing 10. - Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers - The Who - Who's Next - Lynyrd Skynyrd - Second Helping - Black Sabbath - Paranoid - Status Quo - Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon - Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here - Bruce Springsteen - Darkness On The Edge Of Town - Deep Purple - Machine Head - Nazareth - Hair Of The Dog - AC/DC - Highway To Hell There's 10. That could easily change tomorrow and I'm sure there's just as many I didn't think of. Some of these were picked more because of an emotional attachment to a particular album (Wish You Were Here, for example) rather than me thinking it is necessarily the "best" Pink Floyd album.
@BrendonSnyder3 жыл бұрын
I’m the same way. My list and opinion of these and the order could change on any day based on how I feel. I just filmed a 2nd video called 10 More Rock Albums Everyone Should Own and some from your list made that one. I’ll be posting it Tuesday.

Yes, your selection is really great. 50 years of music history pass me by ,of course also 50years of age. I remember when all these albums came out i bought them immediatly. Some still on cassette. Dark Side Of The Moon is blowing everything. It's truly an incarnation for me. The sounding is unbelievable also in the first pressing. Alan Parson and the band did an excellent job. It sounds so spatial and transparent. Of course all Pink Floyd releases are sound technically brilliant but DSOTM is a blueprint for awesome sounding. IT's not for nothing that it is used as a test plate for high-quality music systems rightly.

Deep Purple In Rock.... definitely.. and UFO -- Strangers In The Night. Although I care for only 4 songs on there. However, those four songs are so g'damn good. Rock Bottom (incredible 5 minute solo), Lights Out, Love to Love, & Doctor. Doctor. Love PF Animals. G&R Appetite For Destruction, every Aerosmith album before Night In The Ruts (including Live Bootleg). If I had to pick, it would be so hard, but the 'Rocks' album 1st, and maybe 'Get Your Wings' 2nd. JP in Dallas and Memphis live was great. The Ripper, Diamonds and Rust etc. etc. The Who, Who's Next is up there. So many more. Thing is, I was at that UFO recording live in 1979, at the Amphitheatre in Chicago. Michael Schenker was on it that night.

Burn is a really great album. Machine Head is a must have, should be in any top 10 IMO. The first Boston album is one of the most important albums ever - he changed music forever, and perhaps not all for the better. His album became the template for record companies for many years, just because it was such a huge album. Everyone had it. I was in high school and everyone had the tape in their car. I think it's Hitch a Ride that has that great guitar duet at the end - all these years later it still gives me chills. Dark Side I'd put higher in the top 10 but like you said, it's subjective and I acknowledge that. My honorable mentions: Alice Cooper, at the band's highest heights: Billion Dollar Babies Chicago crossing over from hard rock and fusion into serious rock and pop: Chicago V Yes, with an amazingly successful progressive rock album, Fragile Uriah Heep's magical sound recording, the absolutely dreamy Demons and Wizards Roxy Music really nailed their sound on Siren The Clash and their "White Album," London Calling The Stones' spectacular double elpee Exile on Main Street ELO's not a lick of filler in a double album Out of The Blue Lou Reed's New York. Stripped down and gritty Muse - I love 4 or 5 of their albums, I will pick Resistance Thanks for your videos!
