I swear when I hear that guitar start every rose I’m transported to 1987 I’m in a parking lot on a hot summer night with all friends hiding our beers and hollering at girls and not a care in the world, not even understanding how good my life was at that moment.

I always had massive respect for Bret Michaels as a musician, but when I discovered how much charity work he does every year... what fantastic guy he is! does so much work for kids with Down Syndrome but he never advertise it to the world. It would be easy celebrity points for him, but he really does it for the cause

Bret played in our little town of macomb Illinois (20,000) in a very small bar, he was the most gracious and down to earth guy you could meet, he told stories along with playing his hits, and made you feel that he was happy to be there!!!!!

Speaking of running around the stage, this one's a doozy: I'll never forget the night Rikki (Rockett) stripped down to nothing and ran all over the stage wearing nothing but a sock. That was hilarious.

I was in Atlanta GA with my pops doing an antique show in 1990, I was 14 at the time. My dad and a few of his friends and I went to a small bar/restaurant to have dinner. Only empty seats were at a large table in the corner and this guy yells out, here grab a seat and I yelled out, holly shit, its Sammy Hagar!! Lol We all sat with him and a couple other guys, had dinner, dad had drinks with him and Sammy paid for everything. My pops had weed and Sammy lit up a joint right in the place and nothing was even said. One down to earth guy for sure, great experience and time I'll never forget.

"Every Rose" was the first song I ever performed in 7th grade at a talent show. The next day arriving to homeroom, literally everyone looked at me when I walked in the room in absolute disbelief that I could do that. It was in that moment that I understood the power of being a musician. It changed my life from that moment on. Bret has always been a musical hero of mine. So has Sammy for that matter.

He told me that story about "Rose"...and also said his record company didn't want to produce it so he did it himself! He was just like talking to your next door neighbor. Ill always remember that!

Just found this clip. There’s so much joy and love between these two amazing men , so real, no egos just a great energy and a pure love of music. Certainly had my old feet tapping away whilst I’m in bed with a damn head cold. I’m so grateful to have been around to be able to buy their new albums from the record, shop when they were released and sing along to them on the radio and MTv , and now still enjoy them in another format
