I caught up with MLB's happiest player at Yankee Stadium, and we talked about -- what else? Catching home run balls! That was super fun for me but Yankee fans were NOT happy. Their team was battling for a playoff spot in the 2nd-to-last game of the season, and the Tampa Bay Rays demolished them. Brandon Lowe hit three home runs as his team cruised to a 12-2 win, but aside from all of THAT, I had a great day with a young fan named James. We got autographs and milkshakes, and we also combined to snag three baseballs at the 3rd base dugout. Can anyone help us identify the first guy who tossed one? (It's at 1:22 in the video.) Ball No. 2 came from a random employee -- that's the one that I dropped (because of the sun, OKAYYY?), and yes, I'm still embarrassed. The final ball was thrown by Rays 3rd base coach Rodney Linares, and James deserves credit for being generous. Right after I caught it, I noticed a kid right behind me, so I asked James if we could give him that ball, and he said yes. (I wish I'd been even half as generous at that age.)

Huge thanks to Brett Phillips for being so friendly, not just to me but to all the fans along the left field foul line. Major League Baseball needs more guys like that. Thanks also to Bill Bruning for filming this video and to Chris Bruning for editing. The game, BTW, took place on October 2, 2021. Thanks for watching!
