That actually happened to me... At the age of 7, I almost went blind. So what happened was that I and my class were doing a dance celebrating mother's day, And my teacher thought what if we put glitter on the girls' hair so when the light reflects their hair will appear shiny on the stage. And guess what happened ?! the glitter went into my eyes ( probably one or two into each eye) and I spend that whole weekend and the week after that, not allowed to open my eyes (they were basically shut by the bandage), forced to crawl to rooms, held like a baby to the bathroom, and worst of all that I couldn't watch cartoons I could only hear it. That experience traumatized me, I feel sorry to all blind people they get it tough + Happy mother's day to the ones reading.

That happened to me!!! And mine... is even worse, so it was also really traumatizing and I literally got depressed and anxiety when it happened... The glitter was a star shaped and so their are 5 sharp tips. And it hurted and I thought I would go blind...I got it out when one night eating dinner I was itching my eyes and then it hurted extremely bad so I went to it out. And boom the glitter was on my eyeballs, so I used a q-tip to get it out.. It was one of my happiest days!! It felt so great for the feeling!! A splash of relievedness

On my birthday, I got these colorful gel tubes with low concentrations of glitter. I then asked my elementary school teacher if I can bring glitter for a Christmas card project and she looked at me a bit startled and very hesitantly said yes. She warned me that I would need to be very careful and clean up after myself afterwards. I was very confused but didn't think more of it. At the time, it was unfathomable to me that glitter was sold outside a liquid medium. The next day. she questioned where was my glitter. I showed her the gel tubes and she let out a huge sigh of relief. She immediately returned to her desk and seemed out of it for the rest of that day. A decade later, I learned it is available, normal, and expected for glitter to be sold loose and I felt bad for causing my teacher so much distress.

"Safe"... Gingerbread house... You know not the horrors! After my grandmother passed, she was a hoarder. As we cleaned out the house digging deeper and deeper we could tell we got to a new year as there would be a large plastic bin with a fully intact gingerbread house. This is why I only ever use pre-mixed glitter glue. Hard to get it into your eye or inhale it when it's in a sticky liquid that's too heavy to float in the air. Even so, I'm very careful to get everything off when I wash my hands after using it. How we decided it was a good idea to let clumsy, careless little kids handle loose glitter with minimal supervision or safety precautions is beyond me.

Insurance -or a least private insurance- is a ripoff. The whole point of insurance is that you're _not_ supposed to worry, but the problem is that so many things don't end up being covered by it because they weasel their way out of coverage even if they're legally in the wrong. My mom once made me a snake costume for a 3rd grade play, and it was a good last minute costume BUT it had one of those masquerade masks which was ALREADY PAINTED GREEN, and she needed to cover it in glitter. I proceeded to do the play almost blind and my eyes tearing up in pain. So yeah fun play.

I once woke up, with something in my eye, didn't know what it was, went downtown to work, could not stand it anymore, went to the medical clinic, and the doctor told me I somehow closed my eyelid while sleeping, capture a mosquitoe by the leg, the bug pulled and left the leg there. Anyone remember the old brew? And I don't just mean when he wasn't all "which video will be the most out of this world and maybe kinda clickbaity," I mean when the animations were, well, let's just say... Less high quality?
