​@imani2114 it doesn't have any tomatoes of red peppers in it. It's made with white beans green chilies and chicken. some people add cream, or other dairy products, but that's not necessary.

Another interesting one is the word hall. It used to refer to large, open communal spaces inside, but as buildings started having individual rooms they took up space from the hall. This continued as kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. got introduced leaving the hall to be a narrow corridor used to access the sectioned off areas of a building. This is why large communal spaces are called halls such as in "dining hall" or "mess hall".

Chili, like many amazing foods, is really about creativity and the total being greater than the sum of its parts. You can make an amazing chili with suprising few ingredients. You can make an amazing chili with ingredients you didnt expect. Really easy dish to experiment with.
