Nicely found. I do recall Geordie vaguely, but I didn't realise he was the singer. :D

Enhorabuena.

I think Geordie did a cover of 'House of the Rising Sun' that's worth checking out specifically for Brian's vocals. He was a helluva a singer.

Have you ever heard/saw Bon Scott's early stuff, backing vocals with "The valentines", just do a YT search for "VALENTINES Aussie bubblegum Bon Scott AC/DC", and also "Fraternity", just do a search for "Fraternity - Seasons of Change ft. Bon Scott", we also have his time in "The Spektors", enjoy the journey.

Early 70’s I moved equipment and stuff for a band that covered a couple of their songs - check out Mercenary Man.

I never knew he was in that band. I kinda laughed when the camera panned towards the drummer , and then zoomed in on the name of the drum lmao.

It's like they couldn't quite decide if they wanted to be a rock band or a disco band.
@garrickmusic

That wasn’t unusual for acts in the late 70’s. KISS “I was made for loving you” as a prime song example. The record companies often had a lot to do with forcing the direction of a band to jump on the hot trend of the time.

@@garrickmusic Don't know if I'd say it was unusual. Some rock bands did it, but most didn't. The one that stands out is Floyd with Another Brick in the Wall. A parody of disco music and conformity, yet ended up being a huge hit. God, I hate that song.

@@kilroy2517 I was always a Classic Rock lover but never had a problem with Disco, even back in the day. (I’m 59) still love every song on “The Wall.”

How do you go from this voice to his voice in AC/DC. Is it fake.
@TheKillogicEffect
@TheKillogicEffect Ай бұрын
Yeah its pretty interesting seeing and hearing the difference but you can hear his tone especially when he does higher notes which is ironic because he sounds more like Bon Scott here than he does in AC/DC! I'm guessing he figured where AC/DC was a much heavier band he better kick it up a notch....lol

Its a great piece of rock history, this was the popular sound at the time that being a disco rock crossover type thing. There are lots of artist that are probably embarrassed from the look and sound that they had going on in the 80s and early 90s
